It's a real shame they never brought any of these outside of Japan, and the fact that they are expensive, I like Transformers but Dialcones setting and designs are just cooler
Elder Weeb here.
When I was a kid, my Dad's friend worked for some bioluminescent African American organization in Japan. He brought me back an original Microman Micro Change Perceptor in its original black and silver colors.
I bought the American version BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONE FROM THE CARTOON and I think gave away the Microman one because I was a child who didn't know any better. I wish I could travel back in time and tell young me to NOT DO THAT.
You never know, that recipient might've gotten YEARS of enjoyment from that thing that meant little to you at the time.
You can probably buy an ehobby Magnificus for a non-extortionate amount if you really do miss it in hindsight. The Gen Selects one is pretty cool, too.
So far they need at least a pilot.
In the reboot all units are installed with B.I.G.-A.I. (Battle Integral Generator Artificial Intelligence) that fine tunes the unit and being the weapon control for the pilots based on their stats. The A.I. is like Bio-computer in F91 but can talk back.
All B.I.G.-A.I. are connected to the Land Master, a sentient super computer located at GigaZone. Land Master can take over the unit through B.I.G.-A.I. if needed.
con't
Oh and B.I.G.-A.I. can communicate with the pilots in different personalities based on their likes with a special program called Buddy Interface.
Looks like a Transformers knockoff.
I wonder how everything would have went if Transformers was never made and Diaclone became the one franchise with shows, a movie and games
We'd have so many cool lil piloy fellas
*pilot
With lots of variations in the remake.
You could look at Zoids, it started out similarly as mostly a toy-only thing with minimal lore and media.
DIE
A
CROOOOOOOOOOOOONE
5 more months until people are getting their hands on a revamped version of this big boy.
Boobies!

Diaclone made the rounds in Italy through GiG who switched right over to Transformers once it started.

The rebooted toyline has some insanely good and cool looking toys
Neat
They all are
So are some of the Diaclones sentient or are the all lifeless human operated mechs?
Piloted iirc
