Cosmic MCU should've always been an Annihilation Wave movie with the Nova spinoff being the big dick action hero Ryder getting stuck mentoring some snot nosed brat.
It should have been him and Wendell. Rich is only around 28 in the comics. He's not supposed to be "old mentor", he's supposed to be the lead main character
>This was cancelled in 7 issues >America Chavez with even lower sales hit 11 >Magnificent ms marvel hit 18 which also had lower sales and covid stopping the run for months
Someone in editorial actively dislikes Nova.
Sam had 3 previous titles that sold just as bad. That's why he got 7 issues. His first solo went for like 30 issues despite selling well below cancelation numbers.
I understand Loeb was in a lot of pain but taking his anger out on the Ultimate universe and then coping with Nova wasn't the way to go, dude needed to have a lot of time off
He's only good as the young screw-up that everybody pats on the head and tells him it'll be okay while his life falls apart. I think there's a meta narrative baked into his character about how mistreated legacy characters are after their initial attempt to get inclusiveness points fails. He was peak in Carnageman though.
It's moronic on their part. I guess they've stopped caring too.
Blue Beetle was a flop, don't get why they think this will be any better. What a fricking joke.
Eh, I think he'll still be there as the mentor. If anything it's a good thing, as it means they'll look for a good established star actor for Richard instead of some mystery mutt nobody in their 20s. We'll most certainly get Annihilation too, probably as Fantastic Four 2 or 3 or maybe GotG 4 ft. Nova and the FF.
I'm pretty sure this will do just as bad Ms Marvel, probably worse, and Nova will go back to D-List and fade into obscurity.
Loeb must have dirt on Fiege if they're seriously considering using Sam.
I thought it was never happening and was fine with that. Disney has found a way to disappointment me yet again. Frick this franchise.
Oh no not the.................................................Disney+ series...

Stop being funny. Two ypipo males as main roles?
Honestly I really like Quasar. Wish he got more rep in literally anything
>This is from the same writer as Ant-Man 3
Man, what a fall from grace
If he wrote Judas today I doubt he'd make it as nuanced as it was
Given how popular the Helldivers 2 is, Marvel is moronic for not seizing on it by making what could have been their own Starship Troopers.

He is a cop of sorts so it's no wonder
Jesus fricking christ.
>Nova Boy
>Ms Muslim
>Miles Bendis
*giggles*
*Rider
I would love to punch Jeph Loeb in the face for ever unleashing this twerp onto Cosmic Marvel.
I remember when he left the title back in like 2012, he vowed to return. His words.
I don't think he ever came back to write another comic.
I understand Loeb was in a lot of pain but taking his anger out on the Ultimate universe and then coping with Nova wasn't the way to go, dude needed to have a lot of time off
It's okay I'm sure they'll pull a Hal Jordan and Rich will be an evil Super Nova or something that Sam beats and takes the mantle from
>Disney will do Emerald Twilight and Rebirth before DC will
Absolutely grim
You guys actually thought in this day and age, they’d have the starring character with the name Dick Rider?
>When I say Penis!
>You say Parker!
Why else do you think thier pushing Miles to be the main Spideman other then for Diversity points.
They are out of touch bussinessmen who tries too hard to follow the current trend.
>why else
There is no other reason than for diversity points. It's literally all Miles has.
I actually like when they made bad decisions now. It's another thing for me to not care if its good or bad.
I like Sam but, I know they won't do him justice. He has potential to be fun.

I’m more surprised they’re doing this, because it gives Jeph Loeb residuals.
I guess he's learned to kiss Kevin's ring now
Be grateful it isn't a character you give a frick about. Sam getting the humiliation ritual spares better characters.
You say this, but remember Mar-Vell?
What happened?
Richard is at his most compelling as an adult. So it makes sense to go with Sam if you want a teen.
Why go with a teen at all? High school is a boring setting, and it's not like American education is doing good right now.
idk. Maybe they wanna avoid doing annihilation.
It's moronic on their part. I guess they've stopped caring too.
Blue Beetle was a flop, don't get why they think this will be any better. What a fricking joke.
tbf, Blue Beetle probably would've flopped even with Ted.
I thought Jamie Blue Beetle had a fanbase?
His "Brave and The Bold" incarnation does but besides from that nobody is checking for him.
>American education is doing good right now
American education has never been "doing good" especially when diversity (which is our strength) drags down the country's social stats.
It's never been this bad. Kids in their junior and senior year can't read.
% of adults with low literacy is roughly 25% and high for most states. It's not just a school issue.
Okay, I stand by what I said before that high-school is a boring a played out concept.
I really like Sam
taking adult superheroes and making them kids is fricking stupid

POWER OF THE NOVA FORCE
SPEED TACKLE
ENERGY JAVELIN
BLUE BLAZES, I'M AWESOME!!!
you are lying if you know Nova from anything else.
