10 year old me went to see a movie about a worker ant having an existential crisis. At least Soul has an adventure in a trippy afterlife.
Yeah but Antz at least had some pretty good, dry, sarcastic Woody Allen humor going for it. Not all of it lands, but the stuff that does is pretty chuckleworthy. What does Soul have?

Pretty sure it was a combination of lack of Disney content (movies got delayed from March 2024) and the fact that Pixar was very sore over movies going to streaming that this happened.

Was this Disney's decision, or did some idiots at Pixar come up with it? Soul isn't some cultural phenomenon like the original SWs movies or Avatar.
Other countries had these movies (Soul, Luca, Turning Red) in theaters before Lockdown kicked in. Disney US was behind the curve and missed these films for Marvel movies instead.

In food terms, a short should be an appetizer, not dessert.
I'm not even concerned with the content and message and politics of these films.
That is NOT how you premiere a short.
Even if Soul was a movie that you loved and engaged with, you're gonna be a bit tired by the end and ready to leave. All the emotional responses from the highs and lows of the film will have drained your brain.
That is honestly the best thing they could've done. Maybe they did test screenings and it didn't get received well. I know I'd walk out of the theater if they had that kind of race bait. I just don't have any tolerance for it anymore.

No, you’re a fricking moron cherry-picking diversity photos and drawing gigantic conclusions from the existence of black people at a company without knowing what roles anyone made at anything.
It’s the non-white’s innate inferiority complexes. Back in college I had a black dorm mate. He introduced me to weed. One night we got real high and he admitted to me that most black people feel inferior to white people, but will never admit it. Because it hurts to confront the truth. He said that the reason why black people feel inferior to white people is that white people did everything first and that white people are so much more beautiful than black people. After that night he started being really shitty to me. Because I knew his secret. I wasn’t going to tell anyone. After he told me that I started noticing the motives behind non-white peoples actions being more out of petty jealousy, rage, spite and plain old inferiority than anything else. My ex roommate went on to be one of those blm rent seekers in corporate America.
>I miss the fun shorts with a guy playing chess with himself or a guy or the alien screwing up abducting a guy. Everything now has to be some director's overblown self insert whining story about some aspect of their life, but hugely over dramatic and weird.
Thats what you get for having women as directors. They can only write self-insert fanfiction and nothing else.

>A wooden doll who desperately wants to fit in makes an ill-fated wish upon a star, sparking a journey of self discovery. Her desire to blend in with her peers leads her down a harmful path, challenging her perspective of both who she is and where she belongs. >Pixar celebrates the stop-motion animation process while giving its director the freedoms to tell a resonating story and honor her Ethiopian heritage
Can't be worse than their previous short. >Adulting can be hard. Some days you're nailing it, while other days, you're just a stack of kids hiding in a trench coat hoping no one notices. Gia finds herself in this exact scenario the night of her 21st birthday. This is a story about the insecurities of adulting and how we're all just faking it till we make it.
>A non-verbal, autistic girl and a chatty boy are partnered on a canoeing trip. To complete their journey across an urban lake, they must both learn how the other experiences the world.

God fricking damn, they have the medium of animation to tell stories unhindered by physics or reality and they choose the most boring shit imaginable.
Damn, remember when they were able to tell these types of stories through extensive metaphors or symbolisms, that were both thought-provoking and visually pleasing to look at?
Black representation addiction. That's it. Doesn't matter the film already came out digitally 3 years ago and most of their core audience watched it. "Black faces on big screens now because raycism" is the target goal, not making enough money to keep the lights on at the studio.
It's the same reason they gave the next Star Wars trilogy to some Palestinian man-hating feminist b***h. " duh message" is all that matters.
Pretty sure it was a combination of lack of Disney content (movies got delayed from March 2024) and the fact that Pixar was very sore over movies going to streaming that this happened.
>Disney needs money and doing direct-to-streaming doesn't really generate as much money as putting it into some other streamer or putting it into theaters >Pixar is likely pissed that several of their movies ended up released on Disney+ instead of theatrically and probably argued for this to show people were interested
Look for anything directed by Takahata or Miyazaki. Those are generally the A-tier of Ghibli stuff since they're two of the company's original founders.
Because people are nostalgic for Ghibli movies. It's the same reason why Disney can re-release Lion King into theaters and it makes a frickton of money.
There are probably fans of Turning Red or Soul or whatever, but nobody is nostalgic for it. It doesn't have even 1/15th the fanbase of Spirited Away or Mononoke, which have the benefit of being around for decades now. Movies like Cat Returns or Only Yesterday don't do nearly as Kiki or Howl, either. Established fanbases will come out to see shit; that's why Hollywood has been obsessed with reboots.
Godzilla Minus One also had diddly shit for advertising and managed to do well in theaters due to word of mouth. Is anyone talking about this movie? Is anyone saying it's better than you'd think and you should totally go see it?
Be quiet homosexual, I still remember those moronic animals saying that the barber looked real, I even remember some saying he looked like a good gay representation or some shit like that, /misc/ was already pushed in the movie a long time ago
>2014
They had 5 movies make over 800 million and 3 make over a billion between then and 2020. Even when they had 2 stumbles box office wise with Good Dinosaur and Cars 3:It Was Her Turn, they literally just had to wait a couple months to crack a billion. That's pretty unstoppable.
Ever since 2020 it's just been a tragedy. They can't even blame "Muh covid!" because Minions 2 literally came out a month after Lightyear and made nearly a billion on its own.
>Release in theaters a movie nobody saw in Disney+
Just about anyone with a brain would now that's a bad idea, they probably knew too, so what the frick? What was the plan here? They can't be hurting for cash that badly
>What was the plan here?
Like someone else already said, use the nonexistent attendance to b***h that it bombed because of racism, as opposed to the truth which is that it bombed because it's fricking worthless.
It's a 4 day weekend for some places in the US and they still couldn't crack it, just like they couldn't crack it for a 4 day weekend when Wish was out.
>Disneydrone posted pictures of literal shit >Now he's copy/pasting the same text over and over >All because there was a thread where people pointed out a movie didn't sell well
It's worse >Godzilla movie where the only audio language is Japanese, meaning if you don't understand Japanese, you're going to have to read. Many people do not like dubs >Period piece not tied to any other Godzilla incarnation so audiences don't know if they would even like this version >Budget of less than 15 million US dollars >Director is very hit or miss
It had basically everything against it
Don't forget >Barely even advertised, nothing more than at most a couple commercials and a youtube trailer. No buses, billboards, talk shows, not even a freaking display for theaters. >Limited run, half the theater count of Marvels or Wish, meaning it would've been the first to get dropped if it underperformed. >Came out a week after Wish, which Disney was expecting to do gangbusters. >Nothing in it to get woke activists pushing(Not to say it's anti-woke or something, just that there was nothing that they would scream about on Twitter) >Relied purely and totally on word of mouth >Legs are still going 46 weeks later.
It managed a near 5X multiplier in America and 9X total budget. Even if by some miracle they spent 4x it's budget on advertising, it was a roaring success.
Looks like someone learned they're getting a lot more free time soon and is really really salty about people shitting all over a Pixar movie for some reason.
>https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/pixar-layoffs-second-half-2024-1235870346/ >20 percent laid off
This dosen't even seem like a question?
Like the frick would people be pushing in the doors to see it in a theatre if they've watched it at home with their whole-family on some lazy weekend like a year ago?
If their going to release shit to their streaming service before they even bother putting it in theatre's, no shit the theatre release is going to 'bomb'.
>4 year old movie >Free on Disney+ right now >or $15-18 a ticket in theaters >limited release, not everyone has it >Comes on Freeform fairly often, also free >bland forgettable movie that most people forgot about >There is record cold in 12 states right now and no one wants to go out in 5 degree weather to watch something they can see on Disney+
And let's not forget this classic. >An earnest ball of yarn named Purl gets a job at a fast-paced, high energy, male-centric start-up. Things start to unravel as she tries to fit in with this close-knit group. Purl must ask herself how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for and in the end is it worth it?
Hey jannies, are you going to get off your fat acne-ridden asses and delete this shit? I know you're busy babysitting Loud House threads but it would be really nice of you.
>Short about the difficulties of socialization >Short about the difficulties of socialization as an adult >Short about the difficulties of socialization as an autistic mute >Short about the difficulties of socialization as a whamin
Meanwhile some of Pixar's older shorts >Short about a man playing chess against himself >Gag-centric short about birds on a telephone pole line >Short about a student alien trying and failing to abduct someone >Short about a magician trying to perform an act with an uncooperative rabbit >Short about clouds who make animal babies and storks who deliver them >Short where a humanized version of day and night meet and interact >Short about a family who cleans up the moon after a falling star storm >Story about volcanos falling in love
Hey homosexual. Annoying people to spread awareness just makes people more antagonistic toward you and more likely to ignore whatever the frick you’re trying to say. I don’t know what “justice” you’re referring to here, unless you’re actually schizophrenic enough to think you are posting with Disney marketing agents.
Soul was never good to begin with. >fugly art style >terrible voice acting >peak jogger fatigue >"What if 'x' had feelings?" plot....again >dumb secondary cast
If anything, it's Soul-less.
An anon is so fricking mad at losing an argument to a troll that he goes on a sadistic rampage, tormenting him annd every aspect of his life until he will see the err of his ways. Basically a remake of I Saw the Devil but with internet shitposters.
>Pitch me a movie idea. A story.
A white nymphomaniac (played by Sydney Sweeney) cucks her white police officer husband by having sex with numerous other men. Unbeknownst to Sweeney, her husband (played by Nicholas Hoult) secretly spies on his wife's promiscuous sex life via hidden spy cameras throughout their house as it's revealed he lost interest in copulation with her over a year ago as she's desperately tried in vain to get his thing up but can't due to his onset impotence. Since then, he uses the recorded footage to fap into several acrylic jars of which he stores in an electronic Iranian safe he keeps in the upper-level attic. All is going well until the Israeli mafia starts getting involved...
That's how the movie looks. The "real world" part of the movie is a mix of hyperrealistic backgrounds and textures with bloated faces that resemble political cartoons, while the "other world" is a generic shapeless fantasy land.
They just did this because their employees whined that the movies couldn't go into theaters during the middle of covid. Of course people weren't gonna show up to theaters in droves to see a fricking 3-year-old kids' movie.
Movie didn't feel like a Pixar movie. The charm of a Pixar movie is that its fantastical world's rules are set up pretty much at the start of the film, and everything that happens is logical and within the confines of the rules set up.
Soul is just one contrived ass-pull after another. None of the rules are set up and it just feels like they were making it up as they go for conflict.
I dunno, you consider israelites white? Because Stan Lee is israeli if you didn't know. So is Peter.

Peter is Irish Protestant. You're trying to imply that Peter is israeli because Stan Lee was israeli. So why doesn't that apply to the other characters Stan Lee created, like Black Panther or Daredevil? And it's convenient you neglect to mention Spider-Man's other creator, Steve Ditko, who wasn't israeli.
Fun fact, the majority of audiences who saw Spider Verse were actually white, Hispanic, Asian, and then black in that order.
People don't understand that black people don't want to see black people in media, let alone superheroes. Only whites obsess over MUH BLACK REPRESENTATION.
Regular black people watch anime or stuff with white people in it.
They want to see black people in media, but the people making the media don’t understand that being black doesnt compensate for shit characters or shit writing. All they get is lazy raceswaps that virtue signaling whites push as ‘profound’
>black people don't want to see black people in media,
Wrong
They are just normal people, not race obsessed activists.
Black media was literally better when it was segregated in the 90's
> People don't understand that black people don't want to see black people in media, let alone superheroes.
Black guy here. You’re full of it. I think anybody would like to see someone from their own group represented in a show or movie. Black people watch stuff with white peoples in it because we really truly don’t have a choice and are not in a position as a group to be picky over the race of the person in the show. But it’s silly to say that we don’t want to see other blacks in stuff. It’s more like we take what we can get because making shows or movies about black people aren’t a priority unless they’re being made by black people and there aren’t many black people in the position to really do that.

I'm sorry my Black bros, but this is a natural reaction to the decade long racebaiting current israeli media has fostered.
Before it was about black and whet working together to kill chinks, not about division.
A sad state of affairs.
This movie is for black people, like Madea Goes to Jail. I’m not going to go seek Madea Goes to Jail, that would be rude of me. So I’m not going to see this movie either. It isn’t made for me.
I really liked the part where hes just happy playing the piano in his room, and thought the the story was about happiness and life being about what you make it. I thought it was a very strong message especially for a kids movie. Then the final 20 minutes happened and he was revived in a super jazz band, stupid as frick ending ruined the whole movie
I remember some people saying they wanted to see this film on the big screen but I figured they were in the minority. Luca and Turning Red seem to be more audience pleasing - TR in particular had lots of people claiming it should've been on the big screen and they wanted to see it that way. Those two could do better but realistically I don't think that many people will be dying to see something at the cinema that they already have on streaming.
Disisraelite dying is based af. They turned their back in the families that built their empire for 30 something childless losers that'll just torrent their shit and get mad when Disney isn't grooming kids.
There’s no point to see this when it is already on Disney+.
Also Soul just isn't as popular as Turning Red and Luca when it comes to Nielsen ratings for streaming.

Now post the actual animators and crew, not the diversity promo shot of invited guest experts on Jazz music and black studies.
These are Pixar photos. You're just mad because it's true non-white make shittier movies. You people demanded diversity and this is the quality.
Where's the crew tho?
So you want to be mad at cleanup artists or unimportant jobs in the staff because you think they're hiding the whites? You're fricking moronic.
it's a black film for and by black folk
i have to respect that, I don't belong in the theaters
No, you’re a fricking moron cherry-picking diversity photos and drawing gigantic conclusions from the existence of black people at a company without knowing what roles anyone made at anything.
Pixar was dead when Bird and Lasseter left.
Big cope
>AFTER
HOLY FRICK
Are they actually stupid?
In food terms, a short should be an appetizer, not dessert.
I'm not even concerned with the content and message and politics of these films.
That is NOT how you premiere a short.
Even if Soul was a movie that you loved and engaged with, you're gonna be a bit tired by the end and ready to leave. All the emotional responses from the highs and lows of the film will have drained your brain.
>FOOD ANALOGY
shut up
Why?
Are you dangerously under/over weight?
I cannot find anyone talking about the actual contents of the short and this thing has been out since the weekend.
Did nobody even stay afterwards to watch it? I mean obviously you can guess what it's about from the poster but at the same time it's jarring how silent this is.
Frick it, I'm going to say it. I'm tired of these one word titles Disney/Pixar are using for their movies. It reeks of pretentiousness.
>eyeleshes
bawd
Beat me to it. Was about to say the same thing.
I couldn't have said it better myself anon of good tastes
Pixar's shorts are getting uglier and uglier. What happened to the people that made that sandpiper movie before Finding Dory??
There we go.
Wood.
THEY JUST KEEP GETTING WORSE
>A non-verbal, autistic girl and a chatty boy are partnered on a canoeing trip. To complete their journey across an urban lake, they must both learn how the other experiences the world.
>all the stories are about blacks with mental illness
lmao
fricking racist crackers
could've been funny if they tried
God fricking damn, they have the medium of animation to tell stories unhindered by physics or reality and they choose the most boring shit imaginable.
Uh, looks like somebody is falling asleep at the mandatory DEI sessions~
HR lady is gonna be very annoyed again, Anon.
My honest thoughts on these shorts.
>and where she belongs.
Damn, remember when they were able to tell these types of stories through extensive metaphors or symbolisms, that were both thought-provoking and visually pleasing to look at?
imagine if you reversed the skin colors lmao those people are completely out of htis world.
>imagine if you...
STFU cuckservative dumfrick
They're made because diversity nu Pixar is failing and we have names and faces that prove it's diversity lol.
>leftard only defense is violence and death threats
the usual in commiestan
Talk normal
Was this Disney's decision, or did some idiots at Pixar come up with it? Soul isn't some cultural phenomenon like the original SWs movies or Avatar.
Pixar probably had some influence on the decision but Disney decides what goes to theaters, their distribution arm.
It wouldn't surprise me if it were either.
>Disney needs money and doing direct-to-streaming doesn't really generate as much money as putting it into some other streamer or putting it into theaters
>Pixar is likely pissed that several of their movies ended up released on Disney+ instead of theatrically and probably argued for this to show people were interested
Put one of your old 2D films back in theaters and I'll go. Not paying to see CG shit anymore.
Well you’ll be the only one there
Glad these CG films are finally bombing left and right. People are finally waking up.
Fatigue.
How is it that Ghiblislop can play in theaters every year and people will watch it, but Pixar flops when they do it?
Studio Ghibli is more merit focused than Disney.
CG films are disposable content for trend-chasing casuals. Hand drawn films are timeless art.
No focus in monkeys.
THATS IT
What the frick does that even mean?
Ghiblislop movies are beloved. Nu-pixar films aren't. And Princess Kaguya is a masterpiece
I haven never seen a Ghibli movie outside of Spirited Away when I was younger because I thought it looked interesting. Anywhere I should start?
People seem to financially support Japanese media, they might think they're better paid than in the West.
I'm a fan of drawn animation, not 3D goyslop. I went to see The Boy and the Heron instead of Wish and I have no regrets.
Ghibli remembers animation is a visual medium and makes the visuals beautiful.
"Journalists" who use puns in their headlines will be first up against the wall.
What did you do to trigger the demon shills? They're really mad.
Did they do ANY TV advertising for this release? Was it only social media posts and youtube trailer and occasional trailers with Migration?
>Did they do ANY TV advertising for this release?
AFAIK, nope. Disney stupidly left twitter too so they couldn't advertise it there either.
they didn't leave twitter actually. They stopped paying for ads on twitter is all.
Godzilla Minus One also had diddly shit for advertising and managed to do well in theaters due to word of mouth. Is anyone talking about this movie? Is anyone saying it's better than you'd think and you should totally go see it?
/misc/ go away stay away from Pixar threads
Soul is a good movie btw
There are still Pixar fans in 2024. Now that's interesting.
Be quiet homosexual, I still remember those moronic animals saying that the barber looked real, I even remember some saying he looked like a good gay representation or some shit like that, /misc/ was already pushed in the movie a long time ago
More effort went into these shitposts than Disney's entire output from 2020 to 2023.
>Pixar, once the unstoppable powerhouse of American theatrical animation,
Nobody talks like this.
And the whole
>Once
about it ended like a decade ago
well there was still the cash in sequels to Finding Nemo and Incredibles 2
You're not getting a (you) but I want you to know that I'm still not seeing Soul, or any of the other Disney movies, in theaters.
Don't worry, no one is.
>scat poster dumps his folder someone dared criticed disney
Disney fans are into actual literal shit. Who would have guessed? Meanwhile Warner Bros fans
F
On MLK's birthday too, that's gotta sting. But hey, it's not like other films that have been out for 46 weeks topped it.
KWAB
It's a 4 day weekend for some places in the US and they still couldn't crack it, just like they couldn't crack it for a 4 day weekend when Wish was out.
Nate disney haha
>Disneydrone posted pictures of literal shit
>Now he's copy/pasting the same text over and over
>All because there was a thread where people pointed out a movie didn't sell well
This dude is extremely asshurt.
Imagine if it's the director of Soul.
>all these Disney and Marvel movies completely mogged by big lizard
the absolute state
WB were morons to not distribute this movie for Toho. Free money on the table.
you should know by now that when it comes to dodging money and being morons nothing beats WB
It's worse
>Godzilla movie where the only audio language is Japanese, meaning if you don't understand Japanese, you're going to have to read. Many people do not like dubs
>Period piece not tied to any other Godzilla incarnation so audiences don't know if they would even like this version
>Budget of less than 15 million US dollars
>Director is very hit or miss
It had basically everything against it
everyone knows Godzilla, what are you on
and there's barely any dialogue to read
There's multiple different versions of Godzilla, some better than others.
people who went to see this didn't care about 70 years GOJIRA history, probably only saw the US remake with Walter White
Don't forget
>Barely even advertised, nothing more than at most a couple commercials and a youtube trailer. No buses, billboards, talk shows, not even a freaking display for theaters.
>Limited run, half the theater count of Marvels or Wish, meaning it would've been the first to get dropped if it underperformed.
>Came out a week after Wish, which Disney was expecting to do gangbusters.
>Nothing in it to get woke activists pushing(Not to say it's anti-woke or something, just that there was nothing that they would scream about on Twitter)
>Relied purely and totally on word of mouth
>Legs are still going 46 weeks later.
It managed a near 5X multiplier in America and 9X total budget. Even if by some miracle they spent 4x it's budget on advertising, it was a roaring success.
>Movie that's been out for 4 years and everyone has already watched
Wow, that's crazy, no one wanted to see it again?
So why has some anon made it their mission to troll this thread for the last 6 hours?
Laughing at Disney/Pixar failures is Cinemaphile's primary function these days.
It's cheaper than going to the movies.
Looks like someone learned they're getting a lot more free time soon and is really really salty about people shitting all over a Pixar movie for some reason.
>20 percent laid off
Probably a coincidence.
This dosen't even seem like a question?
Like the frick would people be pushing in the doors to see it in a theatre if they've watched it at home with their whole-family on some lazy weekend like a year ago?
If their going to release shit to their streaming service before they even bother putting it in theatre's, no shit the theatre release is going to 'bomb'.
whelp let's see...
>4 year old movie
>Free on Disney+ right now
>or $15-18 a ticket in theaters
>limited release, not everyone has it
>Comes on Freeform fairly often, also free
>bland forgettable movie that most people forgot about
>There is record cold in 12 states right now and no one wants to go out in 5 degree weather to watch something they can see on Disney+
And let's not forget this classic.
>An earnest ball of yarn named Purl gets a job at a fast-paced, high energy, male-centric start-up. Things start to unravel as she tries to fit in with this close-knit group. Purl must ask herself how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for and in the end is it worth it?
needs a remake with BROWN yarn
This thread spam is proof Disneydrones ARE a thing if they single out attacking threads mocking Disney movie failures.
Soul was a really great movie, damn
Hey jannies, are you going to get off your fat acne-ridden asses and delete this shit? I know you're busy babysitting Loud House threads but it would be really nice of you.
pls, why can't you let me have some joy?
what is the point of living if I can't enjoy a little justice now and then?
did you try spamming more poop?
>Short about the difficulties of socialization
>Short about the difficulties of socialization as an adult
>Short about the difficulties of socialization as an autistic mute
>Short about the difficulties of socialization as a whamin
Meanwhile some of Pixar's older shorts
>Short about a man playing chess against himself
>Gag-centric short about birds on a telephone pole line
>Short about a student alien trying and failing to abduct someone
>Short about a magician trying to perform an act with an uncooperative rabbit
>Short about clouds who make animal babies and storks who deliver them
>Short where a humanized version of day and night meet and interact
>Short about a family who cleans up the moon after a falling star storm
>Story about volcanos falling in love
Social Justice matters.
Matters so much that these Social Justice types are the first to get laid off.
They will be rehired, the ride doesn't stop.
There is no going back.
Kitbull and Wind were good. That's something.
Smash and Grab too, a neat little sci fi escape film. Nona is fine-ish. An actual slice of life story that doesn't try to push any big messages.
Where my dang ol replies at boi
is -2 degrees outside.
Stop stealing my (You)s.
Soul was never good to begin with.
>fugly art style
>terrible voice acting
>peak jogger fatigue
>"What if 'x' had feelings?" plot....again
>dumb secondary cast
If anything, it's Soul-less.
Imagine spending time doing this on a Tazmanian dog spotting forum.
but why tho?
We’ll never know. His mind is a prison we can never understand.
That's just it. Their post are that much better than yours since yours are awful.
While some moron loses his mind, let's play a fun game. Pitch me a movie idea. A story.
What are you talking about? They're still there.
What's the matter? Can't stand the fact that Disney sucks and that this movie got trounced by a big lizard of all things?
It's a Disney shill alright. The posts he replies to that he deem "problematic poltards" don't even mention race.
Disney shill is trying to tank the thread where we mock their company
>watching 4 year old movies at the theater
why though?
also janny do your goddamn job we're paying you for a reason
Worth every penny!
You can really tell he's putting his heart and Soul into flooding the thread!
Don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking Disney doesn't shill here.
Anon, what the frick is that background? Is that AI generated or just a shitty art style of a movie?
That's how the movie looks. The "real world" part of the movie is a mix of hyperrealistic backgrounds and textures with bloated faces that resemble political cartoons, while the "other world" is a generic shapeless fantasy land.
I don't think it's even a shill. They started shitspamming and wouldn't stop.
Imagine someone coming into this thread after the autism is gone
I didn't see Soul and I won't purchase a ticket.
Little crying homosexuals
Pixar will win in the end
What's the matter? Butthurt that the mods deleted your spam?
Maaaaaaybe
Why did you even take offence to the posts that WEREN'T talking about race anyway?
I was just trying to fill up the thread bro
>this thread
?si=AD6ttr3AU-HUoOQd
How you guys sound
They just did this because their employees whined that the movies couldn't go into theaters during the middle of covid. Of course people weren't gonna show up to theaters in droves to see a fricking 3-year-old kids' movie.
Movie didn't feel like a Pixar movie. The charm of a Pixar movie is that its fantastical world's rules are set up pretty much at the start of the film, and everything that happens is logical and within the confines of the rules set up.
Soul is just one contrived ass-pull after another. None of the rules are set up and it just feels like they were making it up as they go for conflict.
>White country doesn't care for Black movie
Imagine my shock.
Across The Spider-Verse is the 6th highiest grossing film of last year.
Miles Morales is made by a israeli-latino though and it shows.
nobdy will ever be proud of being #6
It made 6x it's budget back and it's the only other capeshit in the top 10, so that's plenty to be proud of
>DEI originals always fail
>to succeed it must parasite off a white IP
I dunno, you consider israelites white? Because Stan Lee is israeli if you didn't know. So is Peter.
Peter is Irish Protestant. You're trying to imply that Peter is israeli because Stan Lee was israeli. So why doesn't that apply to the other characters Stan Lee created, like Black Panther or Daredevil? And it's convenient you neglect to mention Spider-Man's other creator, Steve Ditko, who wasn't israeli.
But what if, we were to right compelling stories that merely incidentally contained characters of color? Ho, ho! Delightfully devilish, anon.
being DEI approved would certainly rule out such a scenario, but I like your moxy
>still stuck in proportional data
lmao, you are a living joke
What does Spider-Verse have to do with anything? People saw it for Spider-Man, not Miles or even Gwen.
They saw it for the Black Spider-Man main character, yes
Black guy here. Do you have any watermelon I could have?
I'm sorry my Black bros, but this is a natural reaction to the decade long racebaiting current israeli media has fostered.
Before it was about black and whet working together to kill chinks, not about division.
A sad state of affairs.
Are you implying Soul should have had some action scenes?
I agree.
Soul is not good. I wanted to like it, but it's unfocused and too scared to commit to anything.
>why didn't you pay 20 dollars to watch a movie that is on the streaming service for more than a year, goy?
Everyone seems to forget the night and day short was the start of the preeching and screeching.
This movie is for black people, like Madea Goes to Jail. I’m not going to go seek Madea Goes to Jail, that would be rude of me. So I’m not going to see this movie either. It isn’t made for me.
Thank you for listening.
Stay humble.
They've knocked out the foundation of civilization and expect it to function the same way as before.
what a waste of ink
that better have been offset printed or I am very triggered
He didn't have a father to teach him about proper printing.
wow, you special needs pol kiddies really are triggered this much by a cartoon movie?; y'all badly need to get laid
I'm tired of "WHITES BAD, WE WUZ" phenomenon in media
How is Soul a "white man bad" story.
It's just about blacks.
Notice how the thread is full of racism after the spam?
They’re keeping up the thread out of spite for black people, not disney
So when will the west send Armies to destroy Blackrock?
When we west send Armies Blackrock will the west
>send army to black rock
>"ill pay you 80k each to frick off"
>army literally disappears
>Trying to bribe an armyvwith grossly inflated currency.
