Did anyone here watch this? I never watched a spider man movie because it just didn't get me but watching the reviews on Letterboxd and everywhere is ee this shit has 4.6/5 stars and mostly 5 star reviews

It's an arguably good sequel to a well-received movie
don't particularly care about spiderman one way or the other but i'm gonna stream it because i like looking at interesting animations. good idea?
It is.
>these are the people who decide what is "cinema"
what a time to be alive
>that feel when you know they only overrate an average movie because the protagonist is black
>that feel when you point this out and they think you're the racist one
The winning move is not to play.
It's Spider-Man for people who don't like Spider-Man and animation for people who don't like animation
It's really fricking good and I'm saying that as someone who thought the first one was mid.
shill post
Lmao
no, I'm waiting for the digital release. reviewers might prefer characters/animation more than writing/plot.
It's flavor of the month garbage.
>black spiderman gets with white girl spiderman gf
>white girl spiderman is actually a man
Buckbros....not like this...
Yes, it's a shitty filler movie. I didn't look anything up because I liked the first film, wouldn't have gone to see it if I knew it would set up at most 3 plot threads and then end without resolving anything.
Because its a two parter anon.
It must be a huge internet hoax or something cause it's completely beyond me how could anyone like this shit.
It's the newest hotness for critics to suck off because the MCU is dying.
its alright, def a bit overhyped.
Yeah if you saw the first one, then this feels repetitive narratively and thematically. It has some fun moments but also has pacing issues especially in the first half. And clearly they realized the film was ballooning to 5 hours so they decided to split it up and end on a cliffhanger which is pretty jarring with how they tried to end the movie but not the story. I don't think it's as good as the first one.
>critics loved it, from silly ign to arthouse reviewers
>audiences loved it, both genders, all colors, all ages
> internationally praised
>everyone loves it
If you ever wondered if you were contrarian, this is it.
>all flies like shit
You're a minority in our world.
Not so fast redditard
it has a ridiculously bad international box office. We're talking sub 30% here, meaning even the Little Mermaid was more successful internationally. So yeah, only Americans liked and watched this movie, the rest of the world completely rejected it.
It's almost a 60/40 split, why do you dicklets lie?
I guess it got a little bump. Last weekend it was at 28% international. Either way, 38% is still absolutely horrendous. People are pretending this is a huge movie when in reality it likely won't even reach 500 million globally at the end of its run.
Look up your favorite movies. They were made for domestic audiences with international being the desert. Then they started making sub 100 iq movies to capture international money and in the process made movies worse. High domestic with afterthought international is the sign of a good movie, always will be.
Ah so this is the new shill cope
>w-we never wanted those international b-billions they're probably sour anyway
>being beaten into submission to worship joggers is high IQ
lmao
>it likely won't even reach 500 million globally at the end of its run.
Oh no no no
I genuinely can't think of more worthless trash on the internet than the Letterboxd userbase. They all love garbage and think they're comedians.
I wouldn't even consider watching a movie with a black character. And this movie has a black character with a white girl. It's israeli propaganda why would you watch it.
You’re missing out on fun movies like Blade.
It's a psy-ops, much like that Avengers one but less successful because this movie is really fricking terrible in every regard. Give it a month or two and zoomies will turn on it.
Flavour of the month
watching this gave me blue balls. I can't rate it as it is because it's not a complete story
>but watching the reviews on Letterboxd
bruh...
