The only way this would have worked if that they just give Poof to Chloe, making her his first godchild, and you can even Timmy and rest interact because he's a baby and would need help
How many Poochies did this fricking show get?
Eight at least: Poof, Foop, Sparky, Anti-Sparky. Chloe, Missy, Goldie and Kevin Crocker. And there may be even more beyond this.
Jesus fricking Christ. I only knew about the Baby, the Dog, and the girl.
>Anti-Sparky
How long did he last?
Literally one episode and then never seen again IIRC.
>Missy, Goldie and Kevin Crocker.
The frick who are these three the last I heard of was Chloe
Missy is yet another love interest girl for Timmy who appeared in Season 9 and she only appears in one episode.
Goldie is a love interest for Poof (and Foop i guess) who again, only appears in one episode in Season 8.
Kevin meanwhile appeared in Season 10 who is literally just a miniature Crocker who isn't a crazy butthole villian.
If that Poof spin off happened Goldie probably would of showed up there. Missy was pointless since Timmy had like 5 other love interests.
Dark Laser also became a main villain in the last 3 seasons
>Butch remembers Dark Laser more than Chester, AJ, etc.
Butch stated that he never forgot about the other kid's characters, he just straight up got tired of them for some reason. Why never bothered giving Timmy new friends is the real mystery
Also, Butch never got tired of Crocker, Timmy's Dad and cat Man having the same jokes every episode, but he got tired of A.J. and Chester fot some reason. Cat Man didn't even got retired after Adam West died
Adam West was still alive when the show was being produced. They just replaced him because it was cheaper.
I hated that Crocker was continued to be shoved into scripts for no reason, but Butch is the one that insisted on it and now I find the character so annoying, despite him being one of my favorite characters during the show's original run. It just reminds me of time that could've been spent making meaningful stories about other characters from the large pool of recurring characters that by the end, were simply rare background props and nothing more.
Crocker is best as a recurring character. I get he was popular, but a big factor of that was that he was only occasionally used in the beginning. He is a prime example of "Too much of a good thing".
Butch seems like the kinda guy who really doesn't understand humor. Theres a behind the scenes video he did of when he worked on Johnny Bravo, and a recording of the epispde with the Bear. He was laughing his ass off at the stupid Time jokes.
>one-off gag villain shoved into everything out of nowhere
The absolute desperation
And the amazing part is, that outside the "LOSERS" episodes, Laser probably had the average rate of "better episodes" during those seasons. Which doesn't say much, but it shows how bad things were. At least he stick to his gimmick for the most part, while all the other villains just got far worse.
Who the frick is goldie?
A baby girl to make a... well, not really a love triangle, but add more to the rivalry of Poof and Foop. Because seemingly they needed even more excuses to push those stories.
I think the show had long since jumped the Fairy Shark, Chloe was just the last gasp of the show to try and squeeze out money from the name.
she literally fixed the show
Yeah! She ended it
And even had the courtesy of being erased from the continuity for the reboots
Something along the lines of having a few characters like Tootie and Chester learn about Cosmo and Wanda (but not necessarily have direct access to them) might've shaken things up enough for me to watch, otherwise though the whole series was rotten from within. Basically Crocker and Timmy's dad were the funniest characters, so they needed to be in every scene even where not really they belonged, they pretty much had soft fairy-access too.
Too much of the show in those last two seasons was just characters talking in a room, really screaming most of the time, and the setting would switch maybe twice more before the episode ended. Fans favorite characters werent appearing because the plot wasn't moving around enough, its not likely that Trixie or AJ are going to suddenly pop their head in Timmy's room unannounced if 8 minutes of the episodes runtime takes place in there. But for some reason Crocker the pedo likely will.
Anyone with any taste had long given up on the show
>timmy freaks out
>screams “DOUIGH DYE DOH” like a cartoon character
i don’t know why but this always bugged me
Gender bending?
What are some good archived threads about this shitheap I can read through? Because I just discovered FOP died way, way later than I thought it did.
I could have sworn that it got canceled and ended around 2008 but it lasted a full decade longer. The last season didn't even start until 2016, so I KNOW Cinemaphile had to have had a lot to say about the show's stage 4 decline
It originally ended in 2006 with the Jimmy Timmy crossover (both FOP and JN ended at the same time), but was revived in 2008 with Poof.
FOP was never good
First couple seasons had some okay episodes, but overall, yes, the show has always fricking sucked and Butch Hartman is a talentless homosexual.
It’s strange because the pilot eps were actually good.
But damn all the characters were so unlikeable in the main series, and I just can’t stand them yelling all the time
the first few seasons are funny but it was never substantial at all and never a cultural phenomena like spongebob either
This was actually a great idea to mix the show up.
But the execution was horrible, as to expect from the writers of the later seasons of this show.
A show that needs to be "mixed up" and reinvigorated with a bloated cast is usually one that needed to be canceled one season earlier. One that had to do that shit numerous times is one that probably shouldn't have been invested in at all.
Mr. enter was right about the Fairly Oddparents.
I agree that the show should've ended earlier, but the last season had the most ambitious change (in idea, not execution mind you) than the others. I remember people actually discussing this, when I heard them not say a word about Poof or Sparky. It was usually followed by a "They're STILL making this show?", but from my experience, got people talking about the show again, even if very briefly. I was certainly curious, but wasn't actually expecting anything good out of it.
I think the idea behind Timmy having to share his godparents (which makes sense because he has two and most kids have one) opened up so many possibilities for new stories to be told.
They just didn't do it, Those curious just tuned into the same problems that flooded the last couple of seasons, dropped it and left their consciousness.
I think it was a step on the right direction the Chloe seasons aren't FoP at its best bit still much better that the show at it worse.
