Reccoa should have been executed as a traitor, easily one of the biggest morons in a cast full of morons. At least in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Bright was there to slap the moronic kids back into line. He should have slapped Reccoa back into line as well.

I want to mention that this didn't work. Reccoa's words there, like all of her actions, were utterly baffling to Emma, and if Emma didn't kill her there Kamille certainly did. Emma died because of a momentary moment of stupidity, watching the battle outside of the protection of her mobile suit, so she got hit by shrapnel. And even in her final moments, her death, and AFTER her death, she pledged her life force to Kamille to stop Scirocco.

Reccoa wasn’t likeable but that was the point. She was however the most complex and interesting character in zeta.

Why? The Methuss is immortal. It can be completely vaporized in a reactor explosion and then show up perfectly fine the next episode. It survives the war for a damn good reason.
