DC barely cared about the show. They had the tie in comic series while the show was airing but they did that for every animated show. Aside from that they didn't try to pander to fans of the show. The one time they did we got this. I don't know what office the Teen Titans are a part of but it's easily the worst run one.

They extended it for a year after the show ended for the fans that did write in but the numbers just weren't there enough.
I feel like all the tie in comics for the shows didn't do that well sales wise. Sure there are some good ones but I barely knew about them. At best I'd see them in comic shops and be surprised that it existed.
