he killed the photographer who took edgy pictures of women who ended up dead. it was actually his assistant who killed the women. the photographer was just an innocent artist.
But her manipulation has severe consequence for everyone. >kills first boyfriend >falsely accuses Bautista of rape >murder Doakes >kidnaps Rite’s kids and tries to burn them alive >pyromaniac(these people are next level crazy)
Just think about how many other people she’d sponsored in NA who were also manipulated and “punished” by her.
Did any of you guys watch the show?
She killed Doakes, a person that didn't fit the code, and she literally confessed she burned a house in the past and didn't know there were people inside
>She set fire to her ex-boyfriend's house which killed him. Mentioned in "The Dark Defender".
Absolutely insane that there were no consequences for that. You'd think with his code killing an innocent person would be the center of a whole fricking season
yeah i thought he was a shit for this and rooted against him ever since that
He is literally a pschopath, his "code" was always a lifestyle choice forced upon by his father so that he doesnt end up killing innocent people
However there is an episode where he sees his mind projects his uninhibited desire to kill in the form of his brother. Kills a random guy using a gun iirc
The code is just the safest way to fulfil his needs, the moral/ethical foundations to it are very weak
I've been watching the show in full for the first time the past month or so, I'm on season 6
Yes he did. As far as I remember there's >the british photographer guy he pegs completely fricking wrong just because he seems kinda sleazy and does weird photoshoots >random guy in a bathroom right after Rita is killed (dexter fricking follows him into the bathroom and stands behind him, the guy turns around and understandably says what the frick are you doing and dexter says "my wife just died', the guy replies also understandably with "well I'm very sorry to hear that but frick off and frick your wife" and dexter then kills him) >stereotypical redneck guy who blackmails Dexter because he found his knives in his boot by snooping when he changed his flat tire. This wasn't even survival because he didn't think Dexter was a murderer or anything, he thought they were tools for being some kind of a policeman because he was moronic
No the redneck guy took Dexter's gun which was in the car. Dex impales him with an actual pitchfork while held at gunpoint which really wasn't sold well I don't know how the guy didn't just shoot he had plenty of time
No consequences for any of these. Dexter as a show doesn't actually have consequences, it's objectively a stupid show with a very obvious main concern of keeping Dexter likable. We'll flirt with the idea that Dexter knows he's just an evil serial killer but awww omg he loves his son though and stepchildren and look he has emotions too!! As if him actually possessing the capacity to feel and empathize doesn't make his behaviour even worse.
>very obvious main concern of keeping Dexter likable. We'll flirt with the idea that Dexter knows he's just an evil serial killer but awww omg he loves his son though and stepchildren and look he has emotions too!! As if him actually possessing the capacity to feel and empathize doesn't make his behaviour even worse.
I also felt that was weak and hoped the rebooted season would make up for it somehow but it still didnt
>Absolutely insane that there were no consequences for that
He self-destructed when he realized he’d killed an innocent person. Rewatch the episode. Yes, it probably should’ve been a whole season but they did devote a few episodes to him having a mental break after realizing that guy was innocent. Only that photographer and the black police officer in that homosexual New Blood series. Statistically, he has a much better percentage than the US Justice system in terms of accidentally punishing innocents.
Lila killed Doakes and Dexter killed Lila for it. I'd maybe say Lila. Dexter had already kidnapped Doakes and was stressin about it/about to turn himself in and Lila was just ride or dying. For Dexter being all "ohmygosh what a monster, she'll only get worse" is flimsy, lame, hypocritical, dumb, and other negative words.
Only when i get pulled over. I always freak them out though and they ask for my ID even if I'm sitting in the back. If I'm driving they'll follow me afterwards to see where I go.
Don't the books go into more detail and say that Doakes had his own dark passenger (due to being a special ops dude who did irredeemable shit) and knew a monster because he himself was a monster?
la puta died in the show too
homie you didnt stop at season 4 like some homosexual, did you?
laguerta dies at the end of the first book, IIRC dexter kill her in front of debra
Doakes gets turned into a "human pillow" with no limbs and tounge by the villan of book 2 or 3
The books are even more moronic than the show but the internal monoluges and writing in general is really funny in an edgy absurdist way, or at least I thought so as a teen
He was former special ops dealing with fricked up Haitian voodoo death squads.
Also note that he genuinely backed off when he thought Dexter was an addict, so he didn't know anything for sure, just that Dexter was hiding something. He only realizes Dexter is the butcher when Lundy starts reviewing past cases that involved butcher victims, and mentions sloppy bloodwork botched a couple of the convictions.
This. Doakes just had a good bullshit detector and it was constantly going off in Dexter's presence. Honestly Dexter isn't as good at blending in as he thinks or as the show tries to make it seem. That's my headcanon anyway, it only works because the average westerner are quite trusting people who make a lot of base assumptions about everyone
He was also a psychopath like Dexter so he could tell he was like him, but he chose to control his urges by killing people legally* in his job. Although sometimes he alters crime scenes to make his actions more justified.
The real question is why was his ass so huge? This is the best I can pull from google but there are some absolutely insane shots in some episodes
zestiest cop on any show easily
S5 is the first unwatchable season, I can't believe anyone would think it's the best, the drop off from 4 to 5 is some of the biggest in any tv show I can think of
I was a teenager and mega fan back then and s5 is to this day my biggest tv disappointment
Camilla and Deb hardly count for his “killing outside the code” both were mercy killings, one of which for sure was welcomed, and possibly the other as well, had Deb been able to file a POA stating pull the plug if she’s a vegetable.
Show is too far fetched. This guy kills serial killers only? Best estimates place the number of those in the entire US between 25-50. So what happens when Dexter kills all 49 of the other ones?
Think about if you had access to police resources and the ability to conduct illegal surveillance and investigations on suspicious persons. It wouldn’t be too hard to find murderers. A few years ago my city had some black gangbanger dead to rights on a drive-by, where he shot about a dozen people, killing one of them. Instead of getting charged with murder, or a dozen counts of assault with deadly weapon or attempt murder, he took a plea deal for one count of felon with a gun, and was sentenced to 3 years. Our liberal ass newspaper, surprisingly, even posted that he’d previously been arrested for something like 40 violent felonies over the last 5 years, serving little to no prison time.
If you were committed, and had access to all criminal and court records, it wouldn’t be hard to find murderers in a large city.
Per the Batman rule, the total number of killers increases proportionally with each killer killed. Therefore, every killer Dexter kills will create another killer he will have to kill.
what if someone chose to kill you because you frequent the racist alt-right board Cinemaphile and considered you a bad person who deserved to die?
vigilantism is illegal for a reason.
True, precedent is everything, but then you realize that this is more so an issue with humans being such an impressionable people, leading to copy cat killers or emulators that miss the point—which was exactly an episode.
Humans will ruin everything good. Doesn’t matter what it is.
>vigilantism frequently gets out of hand
Yeah, because of stupid people who think they can do it too. This is why being a rebel sucks. Anyone can be a rebel, and counterculture movements are full of idiots who just want to fit in, without a second of critical thought.
You're way out of your depth here, midwit. Maybe stick to easier thoughts like where to eat tonight

Not sure what season it was, but yeah, there was a story arc about Dexter killing people who didn't fit "the code". But they weren't super good people either.
>madre de dios... there was this female police officer who solved every case we had... and every guy except me solved her if you know what i mean... anyway she died and her brother died too... what was his name again... and he had a son, what was his name... oh, harrison! anyway what were we talking about
didn't he kill that black lady police lieutenant?
>black lady police lieutenant
I'm seeing 4 reasons she should've died.
Also iirc his sister did that one.
lady police lieutenant
>I'm seeing 4 reasons she should've died.
kek
underrated
he killed the photographer who took edgy pictures of women who ended up dead. it was actually his assistant who killed the women. the photographer was just an innocent artist.
that was debra.
Lila. That didn't seem right or fair from memory.
She was a manipulative psycho, are you fricking kidding?
>She was a manipulative psycho
So are you going to kill every woman on earth?
Most women don't have the IQ to act on it though
dont have to
But her manipulation has severe consequence for everyone.
>kills first boyfriend
>falsely accuses Bautista of rape
>murder Doakes
>kidnaps Rite’s kids and tries to burn them alive
>pyromaniac(these people are next level crazy)
Just think about how many other people she’d sponsored in NA who were also manipulated and “punished” by her.
False rape accusation
>kidnaps two children along with dexter and traps them in a burning building
yeah she dindu nuffing and this is not just because i wanna bang her
Did any of you guys watch the show?
She killed Doakes, a person that didn't fit the code, and she literally confessed she burned a house in the past and didn't know there were people inside

the guy who did the art photography of women in bizarre photoshoots, he assumed the guy actually was doing in the models...

Nah he'd wanted to make her go away for a while, she just never "fit the code" until she killed Doakes.
He didn’t kill Doakes.
How did Doakes know?
He was real pohleese and Dexter's act couldn't convince him.
if being weird or creepy makes you a serial killer then i should have cops all over me
How much time do you spend around cops?
Only when i get pulled over. I always freak them out though and they ask for my ID even if I'm sitting in the back. If I'm driving they'll follow me afterwards to see where I go.
I'm just intimidating and make people nervous.
Don't the books go into more detail and say that Doakes had his own dark passenger (due to being a special ops dude who did irredeemable shit) and knew a monster because he himself was a monster?
Confirmed, the DP is basically a JoJo stand.
EDIT: holy sh*t thanks for the upvotes!
doakes survived in the book and la puta died iirc
la puta died in the show too
homie you didnt stop at season 4 like some homosexual, did you?
she died far far earlier in the books, roughly around the same place doakes died
>homie you didnt stop at season 4 like some homosexual, did you?
Implying that isn't the most based move possible with Dexter.
I'm
and disagree
laguerta dies at the end of the first book, IIRC dexter kill her in front of debra

blacks have super powers there I think
why else would they worship them

No.
We all deserve to die.
A handful iirc
I like seasons 5 and 6 more than 4 and 2
You should get a professional IQ test so you can start collecting bennies.
t. midwit
season 4 had shit pacing and plenty of plotholes
lithgow's performance was the only good thing about it
he's not a psychopath he's just an autist
I love debra
they fricked it by not making DOAKES his dark passenger in that shit ending season
The real question is why was his ass so huge? This is the best I can pull from google but there are some absolutely insane shots in some episodes
zestiest cop on any show easily
>BBC Bulge
>his ass is huge
Kek whats he supposed to do about it?
>zestiest
Black person homosexual zoomers deserve the rope.
take that thong out of your bussy, playa
lurk moar you stupid homosexual
iirc he kills a suspected murderer then learns that he was innocent. I don't remember the episode.
How long would it take L to figure out Dexter is a serial killer / the bay harbour butcher?
Like before lunch, Miami Metro PD were completely incompetent
black coach/cop/your sons surrogate father
Lumen best girl
Lumen best season
Imagine writing the main season character as someone you care about and feel empathy towards! Why the writers didn't learn shit from that season?
Still mad we didnt get a hot deb and dexter uncensored sex scene
they were married in real life. one exists somewhere in the world.
they're all shit.
S5 is the first unwatchable season, I can't believe anyone would think it's the best, the drop off from 4 to 5 is some of the biggest in any tv show I can think of

https://dexter.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Dexter%27s_Kills_Outside_The_Code
He did, a bunch of times.
Camilla and Deb hardly count for his “killing outside the code” both were mercy killings, one of which for sure was welcomed, and possibly the other as well, had Deb been able to file a POA stating pull the plug if she’s a vegetable.
For the longest time, I thought Doakes' name was "Doug"
yes, my time
Show is too far fetched. This guy kills serial killers only? Best estimates place the number of those in the entire US between 25-50. So what happens when Dexter kills all 49 of the other ones?
It's more broad, he kills any dipshit who deserves it.
The show is incredibly moronic. You kind of just have to roll with it. Especially Dexter’s ability to find killers so consistently.
If you were committed, and had access to all criminal and court records, it wouldn’t be hard to find murderers in a large city.
Dexter doesn’t go for black people silly
I’d like to believe this, but I keep getting the sensation that it’s still far fetched, and still overly hopeful.
How many freed convicts/killers could you kill in a given city before people started raising eyebrows? Without targeting blacks people?
It's loosely based on some Latin American dude who killed a bunch of cartel guys irl
and still got thrown in prison for it lel
see
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedro_Rodrigues_Filho
He was sentenced to 30 years and was out in 7 lol
everything turned out better than expected
actually I take that back. read it again, he served 34 years for the murders then a further 7 for a separate crime.
41 years in prison.
>he served 34 years in prison (about 25 weeks per murder)
Still not a bad rate per body though
Per the Batman rule, the total number of killers increases proportionally with each killer killed. Therefore, every killer Dexter kills will create another killer he will have to kill.
He kills people who have either gotten away with murder and/or he suspects has killed and will kill again.
He is mathematically saving lives and yet he’s the bad guy?
I sometimes forget that the justice system is just a business
“That’s OUR job! You WILL let us take our sweet time!”
what if someone chose to kill you because you frequent the racist alt-right board Cinemaphile and considered you a bad person who deserved to die?
vigilantism is illegal for a reason.
That’s not a murderer, you fricking moron. That’s not a serial killer who plans to commit more murder.
it's vigilantism.
if you let one commit vigilante acts then you open the door to this.
True, precedent is everything, but then you realize that this is more so an issue with humans being such an impressionable people, leading to copy cat killers or emulators that miss the point—which was exactly an episode.
Humans will ruin everything good. Doesn’t matter what it is.
how about you open your back door to my dick, gayet
strawmanian maxiamus
it's not a strawman, vigilantism frequently gets out of hand
>vigilantism frequently gets out of hand
Yeah, because of stupid people who think they can do it too. This is why being a rebel sucks. Anyone can be a rebel, and counterculture movements are full of idiots who just want to fit in, without a second of critical thought.

yeah that redneck in S5 after Rita death
Not sure what season it was, but yeah, there was a story arc about Dexter killing people who didn't fit "the code". But they weren't super good people either.

at least this frick found out who dexter was in the final series, wish he and members of the miami pd had a scene
Words cannot convey how much I despise the cop b***h in New Blood
I CAN SAVE HIM
How?
Gay sex
By putting my thumb up his bum to be specific
I still feel bad for Quinn after all these years 🙁
was Quinn the 1st guy to take the buccal fat pill? he went from chad to homeless guy in 1 season
I thought he was just a cokehead and got really skinny
the douchebag fashion photographer who only beat up girls even though dexter thought he killed them
Rita
