Huntress has light green sclera and dark green slit iris with no outline or visible pupil. These eyes are very consistent across her various transformations. The bear has yellowish-white sclera with circular light green irises, outlined with a thin black line with small black pupils. Very clearly different, non Huntress Wizard eyes.

Huntress wizard has a simple dark blue mask that covers the top of her face. The bear's mask is white, with a specific domino shape that doesn't cover much of the face as well as an almost masquerade ball style protrusion on one side.

True, but this is specifically a forest she said to avoid, she wouldn't be there or she'd be breaking her own rule.

The bear literally chose to grow more limbs in order to fight Finn. If it had time to grow more limbs to fight more effectively, it had time to transform back into Huntress Wizard if it were actually her, as she has been shown being able to transform very quickly. Huntress Wizard would have turned back as soon as she saw Finn, and its debatable if she even would have attacked a weenie like Simon who she'd probably recognise anyway.

That forest was specifically the oldest part of Ooo, not the forest Huntress Wizard lives in. We know this, because Finn visits Huntress Wizard regularly and it would be problematic if he had to pass through the area Huntress Wizard advised that no one should visit to get to her place.
So no, all evidence points to the bear not being Huntress Wizard. It's just a nature bear with sort of similar aesthetics because they are both tied to nature.

Huntress Wizard doesn't hunt skinny bookworms with a giant bear form, she hunts giant bears with magical huntress weapons.
I mean that still doesn't look like Huntress Wizard, but it doesn't look like a person either. It's just a furry looking shape, which to me implies it is in fact supposed to be the bear and you can't see its ears because they are too far back in the shadow.

No that was an evil bear, a previously established adventure time monster. Not to be confused with a party bear, regular bear, talking bear, gummy bear, bear-er of bad news, rap bear, son of rap bear or giant zeppelin bear.
Worth noting that Finn’s hat is made of evil bear. He’s killed at least two already.

In “little dude”, season 5 I think, Finn’s hat is awakened by a wizard. At the end of the episode after farewelling the hat Finn says that he’ll need to skin another evil bear to get a new hat. In “Simon petrikov” Finn calls the monster an evil bear, implying this is the same kind of beast his hat is made of.
