did mcu phase 2 and 3 have some crazy director none of the other phases had?
phase 2 and 3 were both top tier while the rest blow ass

Phase 2 and 3 had a lot of shit though
For starters, Age of Ultron and Ant-Man sucked.
GotG 2 was awful and DS 1 was generic
>GotG 2 was awful
Frick you.
Insufferable humor
Dark world sucks too and whole I personally enjoy Iron Man 3 it's been unpopular with fans from day 1
ANTS 1 is good and highly rewatchable
Dr Strange is fine if you're a Raimi fan. I found its horror direction way more interesting than whatever the other shit tried. Between this and Thor 4, there's dimensions in quality. Thor 4 fricking offended me.
I really don't get why people dislike MoM. I think it's at least partly because it has a terrible name that doesn't really describe the movie well. Maybe something like "Wrath of the Witch" or something more appropriate you wouldn't have people b***hing about a lack of multiverse stuff. I think it was great, had some really cool and inventive visualsband did a lot more with Strange as a character than the first one which felt much more default origin story.
can you really could Norton's Hulk as Phase One? I also think it's weird to include not include movies from phase four (Black Panther 2, Ant-Man 3, etc) to lump in some of the shows.
they did a post credit scene about iron man
Guardians 2 was awesome
1-3 were the same level of mediocrity with some gems sprinkled throughout and an okay end to the whole story. Phase 4 is obviously garbage
Antman and the Wasp filtered so many.
After seeing antman three I kneel.
The third one had too much going on that it was hard to focus on something. The movie feels like they gave a bunch of amateurs the budget and the cast to make a sci-fi blockbusters so it ends up being messy.
Wrong board
The first and second avengers films suck.
First one was good baka
age of ultron should have been two movies
they did ultron dirty too fast with just one
tangential meta thought idk where else to ask. In Loki, a big plot point is that the TVA captures variants that are just walking around. How is alternate Gamora running around with the Ravagers in Guardians 3 post-Endgame?
Because the show ends with the guy maintaining the 'canon timeline' getting killed. It's why all the multiverse shit happened in Spider-Man's and Doctor Strange's movies. The TVA doesn't give a shit about that anymore. Gotta wait til Loki S2 to know what their deal is now post Council of Kangs.
It's all kind of the same though
The only bangers are:
Iron Man
Captain America: The First Avenger
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1
Ant-Man
Avengers: Infinity War
Everything else is embarrassing
If you put some of those on the list you might as well include 90% of the other movies that are just as good and maybe better lol
>If you put some of those on the list you might as well include 90% of the other movies that are just as good and maybe better lol
incredible bait. The rest are sterile reskins (Doctor Strange 1 of Iron Man 1) or quipfests (Age of Ultron) or just dull (Dark World)
>calling Iron Man 3, Avengers 2, Ant-man, Civil War, Thor Ragnarok, Endgame bangers
>no Incredible Hulk, The First Avenger, gotg v2, Dr Strange, Hawkeye, Eternals, Shang-chi bangers
One can one gay be this wrong?
>Eternals, Shang-chi
I skipped these along with Black Widow cause they all looked like shit. Sell me on them.
Black Widow is kinda fun, but is completely forgettable. I might watch it on cable if it was 2008, not worth paying to see though. Eternals is a drag under the best of circumstances. If I was on a flight with 8 hours ahead of me and a bunch of movies I'd already seen, that's probably the best case for watching Eternals (but who doesn't have shit on their phone with them these days?). Probably better watched as clips on youtube. Shang Chi is fun. It's got good action sequences, a pretty good villain, and isn't nearly as quippy as other MCU stuff. The leads have good chemistry which helps make up for Akwafina being Akwafina. The ending sequence is too long but it's also not something they've done in the MCU before (Chinese cinema inspired stuff), all without feeling like Chinese market pandering (it didn't even get a Chinese release because they slipped in Tianmen square references). Of the three it's definitely the most watchable.
Phase Four had Shang Ci and Moon Knight though.
Iron Man 2 was good, just a bit long. Captain America 1 was also good, dunno why people think it's mediocre? Same for Doctor Strange 1. Thor 1 was a bit enjoyable but definitely less passable, I'll grant that. GotG2 are also good, it has a bit too many jokes but I don't think it drags the whole thing down.
Age of Ultron and civil war were the most terrible MCU films ever though, holy frick. Civil War I'll grant has the only well-written MCU Black Panther, but everything else about it is dogwater. Both of them I bet were responsible for the very first outcry of "superhero films aren't cinema!!1!" because of how bad they were.
