I've read my fair share of manga but this was the first I've ever heard of Hino. Only reason I stumbled across this was because I watched Guinea Pig 2 and heard the director of it did manga and I looked it up and thought "huh. That kinda looks like Melvin."
Dark Horse released a big collection of his stuff back in the 2000s that's been out of print for a while. They did the same with Kazuo Umezu, too. For whatever reason, only Junji Ito has ever stuck with American audiences in regards to horror manga.
no you fricking plagiarism apologist. hino isnt a nobody at all in japan hes one of the very famous classic mangaka.
the american industry and its artists and frickers like you are really fricking despicable
get fricked, you fricking degenerate enabler. its not even a reference. evengelion shit in steven universe would be a reference but this is just a straight up fricking rip off, you fricking stupid monkey
i however understand your amerishit industry is now full of real fricking dumb cretins like you who cant even draw a line between ripoff garbage and homage so keep stealing japanese stuff like chinese and believe its your own cultural achievement.
WTF??? So the zoomer animator was the based creative genius all along, while the millenial animator was a plagiarist hack??? No... No! Gen Y bros not like this..... I hate being forced into my cuck corner by the chad zoomer bull, helpless to do anything but watch as he breeds my favorite media with his superior creative genes us millenials losers could never hope to compare to... AAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE
Go to manganato, then type his name in the search.
They've got most of his best stuff on here. Good luck if you want physical translated copies, though.
Fricking hilaralious that Amerimutts are hysterically so fricking desperate to defend this obvious plagiarist despite blaming Chinks for being a copycat. Fricking hypocrites
It's probably an intentional reference.
This. The guy seems to be well versed in horror stuff. You don't have to be a obnoxious weeaboo to be aware of or reference old manga.

No. But salad fingers looks and has a plot similar to one of hino hideshi's stories. That sounds more like a rip off.

What is wrong with you
Did Hino Hideshi rip off Betty Boop?
Did Betty Boop rip off a Super Nintendo controller?
Hino Hideshi ripped off old Addams Family comic strips for his style so it all evens out
Hino doesn't look anything like Addams.
Cap
You may be blind.
There is no such thing as an anime style, everything was copied from the West.
Yes anon. I am sure that even the doodles a japanese 4 years old kid made on his notebook were copied from the west.
But it's true that even the modern style was copied from the West.
Yes, yes. So brave, so true.
It's a well-known fact.
If it's a fact why isn't it written on my facts wall? Checkmate.
blatant rip off or pastiche at most
every hideshis fan would recognise that shit as his style. i actually thought now that it was something from hideshi
btw what the frick is that fricking shit?
I've seen this artwork in a 1930s cartoon. So who plagiarized whom
No, you haven't.
Yes, I've seen one
Melvin Macabre
didnt know that fricker. its clearly a rip off. fricking pathetic.
if this mfer is japanese hed be sued. could be in the us if hino noticed it and made action. idk how mainstream it is but this shit is embarrassing.
Where can I read more horror manga? I don't really care for Ito and I hate that he's cornered the market on it. I'd like to check out Hino.

Okay so I guess my example was a little misleading, the two manga examples are different characters I believe. Still.

Meatcanyon ripped off Pyschicpebbles with the only joke being "thing but gross"
