Did modern writers really do this to Superman's family? Like what the frick? First it was the gay son. Now it's cuck dad? Holy fricking shit. Do you people not even respect Superman anymore?

why are you posting a non-canon comic and trying to push it as canon
Define non-canon.
>Define non-canon.
Being a comic published under DC Black Label, which is known to publish out of continuity stories
Unless you're actually stupid enough to think that Batman: Damned is in continuity in any way
Is DC publishing it? Yes? It's canon. It's in the multiverse. Probably not the main one but can we be sure about that?
>can we be sure about that?
Yeah we can actually, there's enough context clues to figure out it's not set in any existing continuity and is entirely self-contained.
Or it's in the past. Or maybe it shouldn't even exist. Unlike the dark multiverse stuff, this shit was never portrayed as bad.
Well I don't put a lot of stock in the dark multiverse as a storytelling device as it always seemed half-baked in concept.
The Batman vs Superman gay porno is canon
>Its not canon so it's not affecting you so why are you mad about it
You just added an extra step to the usual tired line thats trotted out to excuse degeneracy.
You can be mad about it but it's fricked up you're being dishonest about it. You're mad about this specific thing here, you can't blow it up as a generalization as all modern writers.
>but it's fricked up you're being dishonest about it. You're mad about this specific thing here, you can't blow it up as a generalization as all modern writers.
Sounds like you're asking for a comprehensive and exhaustive list of examples for you to even entertain the idea.
Realize, this makes you look like someone actively engaged in coping. Maybe you're the one being dishonest here.
>Sounds like you're asking for a comprehensive and exhaustive list of examples for you to even entertain the idea.
Well that's weird because I'm doing the opposite in that I'm asking you to keep it more specific on the comic OP posted and not treat it as the general state of Superman comics.
>and not treat it as the general state of Superman comics.
But Anon, the belief that other Anon is putting forward is that this IS the general state of Superman comics. Is your only response to that really only "Don't do that"?
Do you have anything better in terms of rebuttals?
There is no rebuttal to a belief but that belief is not fact and I'm not gonna treat it as fact.
Anon, your weaselly responses are making you look more and more like someone coping. Please realize this.
But whatever, I'll meet you halfway. Lets rephrase the post and give you a chance to respond honestly.
>But Anon, the theory that other Anon is putting forward is that this IS the general state of Superman comics. Is your only response to that really only "Don't do that"?
Oh I can refute any theory that only relies on a singular data point, my logic is pretty cut and dry in that OP is only bringing up 1 comic so we should focus on the one comic.
Both Geoff Johns and Tom King said Black Label stories can be canon
Doesn’t exist anymore in DC, by their own admission EVERYTHING is canon. Because maintaining a canon would mean that editors would have to do their jobs
I don't like it
For fun
Also it has a dc logo on it
I guess a better word would be continuity as in this story isn't in continuity ad opposed to canon which just means it was a legitimately published by DC.
There's no such thing as non-canon anymore. Everything is canon. DC's official position, as insane as it is.
DC's used that phrase twice and neither menas what you think it means. 1: everything is canon to some universe and 2: everything in both the post-crisis and new 52 continuities is canon to the current main universe.
What about when Tim was a completely different person? Is that a separate continuity we can ignore or somehow also a thing that happened?
The usuage of the general term of "modern writers" annoys me like you have zero interest in focusing on the individual work and instead want to imply this unavoidable trend.
Oh yeah? Post one example of a good modern writer. If it has LGBT and woke ass shit, it isn't good no matter what you say. Individual work my ass.
We're in an agreement that Superman vs Lobo written by Sarah Beattie and Tim Seely was a bad comic but I'm not gonna use that fact to make such a board statement that treats every writer as the same.
This has to be some clown who has no idea of DC’s shitty history or rarely reads comics.
Comics were either silly as hell or low IQ shockvalue to get people talking. Even more so now because the industry is dying.
Is that supposed to be a young martha?
Mother from Krypton who's name I can't remember
Unlike Spider-Man, Superman is currently happily married and banging his wife.
Unlike Batman, all of Clark’s family and spin-off heroes don’t hate him and try to beat him up.
So Clark is winning.
He's doing fine, but it's kind of a bummer that he's not gonna have grandkids.
We’ve literally seen Superman’s descendant line as recently as 2021 in Future State.
Jon being being doesn’t change that.
Nor with Superboy being half clone of Clark.
They can both have children.
Plus Clark can still get fertile Lois pregnant again.
Can confirm, I'm a spider man fan
Woke pigs hate comics and superheroes, so they come up with this kind of shit.
They can't do this shit on main so they made it somewhere else. Then some people on main will make it part of the continuity.
gross
Not respecting Superman implies millennial writers can do anything else and actively choose not to. This is actually all they know how to do.
