I watched this episode. It was really bad. They basically made Morissey someone who's just a jerk for no reason and a total egomaniac. They didn't capture his personality at all and then they made him fat and had him eat meat on stage (he was only a vegetarian before to be a jerk). So all their attacks on him were based on things that weren't actually real. So yes he probably recovered from that.
