there's also no catharsis because he never accomplished anything to begin with. You don't want revenge against someone who has never actually succeeded in wronging you >but muh parallel timeline where he killed everyone
is a parallel timeline. That's how all timelines work, there is no "original world and copy world" there's just outcome A and outcome B
what's the point of that if you're not using Golb as a villain. You're trashing one villain just to make your OC seem cool but you're not even using that OC as a villain.
Why does Golb need to be a villain? The Lich being turned into a tetris block is the perfect fate for someone who thought they understood the will and intentions of the embodiment of chaos.
>who previously was never about understanding Golb but being a mass murdering villain
He did all that because he was a "scholar of Golb", which he stated in the original show before the end

He didn't ever fricking say he did it because of Golb. He said he was a scholar of Golb not as a motivation but as part of a speech listing his feats and accolades. Before this ep you adventuregays were literally still debating what his motive was. The motive was introduced, or clarified and finalised if you wanna be a little pissbaby about the obvious, this episode, and in the exact same sentence as it was introduced he was killed off for that shite new motive.
>No, you see, but we made up this random, completely unheard of motivation for this villain out of our asses in the last season of the show, so that means it's a good ending all along!
This stuff about the lich just being a golb simp was literally pulled out at the last moment. Acting like it was always the lich's plan is stupid.

GOLB is not a villain any character can simply defeat. It's a presence that is above everything and is always an extremely serious deal when onscreen. It's like asking why Lovecraftian gods weren't conventional villains.

It's not like Lich had an extremely deep motivation before the episode where he mentions GOLB. This gave him a connection to a primordial force.
>It's not like Lich had an extremely deep motivation before the episode where he mentions GOLB.
He didn't NEED some ultra-deep motivation. I hate this stupid "le heckin epic subversion" garbage and all the jelly-brained morons who defend it.
> This gave him a connection to a primordial force.
No, this was an asspull made to push a stupid donutsteel. "Hey, remember this cool villain you like? Well he was actually just a servant of this ultra cool guy, and then he gets instagibbed when he tries to talk to said guy!"
Him being a death cultist isn't a deep motivation nor did it completely subvert his character. Were you b***hing when it was revealed he came from the nuclear bomb or that he was a primordial force instead of a simple undead necromancer?

>Him being a death cultist isn't a deep motivation nor did it completely subvert his character.
Him being a worshipper of le golb solely so they can jack off this spooOoOky eldritch god in the last fricking reach of the show is bullshit
they kept bringing the lich back solely to make him job
>The Lich >Succeeds in his desire >Simply sits on his immortal throne, untill re-ignigment of all. >Suffer >Electronic non-life starts interaction >Enjoy this slim moment >BMO; He self-sacrifices for the entities now before you >After their spell; safe them from the hunter and give them all to Golb. >>Did they go too far
This was pure Gold.
Why? Like seriously what’s the point it ends with Simon happily moving on and Fionna and Cake finding happiness in there current world. There no real reason for adventure for any of them, I mean Fionna and Cake are gonna have boring mundane everyday adventures.
Well i guess they could show the other mertens children being killed by the destiny gang after jay left them completely unprotected...or Farmworld Finn being even MORE depressed because his firstborn son got swallowed by a pink light and disappeared forever.
Nah, I always assumed those bucket loads were people before.
It was pretty much completely pointless. There wasn't any catharsis to his punishment because he's been irrelevant for like a decade.

It's not supposed to be cathartic, it's to show that he's an ant compared to Golb and even if he manages to win he still loses.

There's always handlich
He's much too vertical to be a Splatoon 3 map. Probably too big, as well.
What the frick do you mean by “turned into a splatoon map”, anon?
It's a meme that splatoon devs make all their maps into tetris shapes
It so weird when he/she phrases like that?

idk
I want a second season.

That’s not a sequel that’s a spin-off of a spin-off.
I know they got more in them and it is good, I want more.
I wonder if that's what happened to margles too.
