Thomas Newman should compose more Pixar films. Love the music on Finding Nemo, WALL-E and Elemental.
I'd argue that Finding Nemo stood out so much in 2003 because it was Pixar's first film not composed by Randy Newman (whose style of music got stale by Monsters Inc)
WALL-E is meant to embody all the positive human qualities that mankind lost over the centuries after leaving Earth. It isn't only his personality and design what makes him lovable, but also what he represents.
First half gets even better when rewatching the film. WALL-E is shown working with dedication for hours, while humanity spends their whole time on a lazy state of hedonism.
Wow. I remember buying the bullshit about true love when I watched this movie as a young teen. the fantasy that I'd meet my "Eva" one day. everytime i remember WALL-E i reflect a lot about the decisions i took my life.
