I gotta admit that the trailer is one of the most badass I've seen.

Torque prefigured society's slide into full hyperreality and is, in its own way, one of the great turning points in American cinema and culture at large. It's no wonder that it is MC kino. Have a Pepsi. This one's on me.

Film has Jaime Pressly in it.
Spends most of the trailer showing Monet Mazur and the other actors, and barely any time showing Pressly.
Film ends up not being a box office success.
Also the trailer sort of sucks compared to the actual film.
The film’s director is mostly known for expensive music videos.

because motorcycle chases cant be fun and somewhat realistic, no we need bikes jumping and flipping all over with people havin knifefights on them.

Movie is such a disappointment for any sportsbikes-enthusiast although i give them some points for the heroes riding an RSV and a VTR which are both pretty cool v-twin superbikes and not generic japanese I4s.

Movie should have been more like this:

real bikes, real stunts no obvious bullshit.

The point of ‘Torque’ was that it was a “Looney Tunes” version of a bike and car chase movie.
It wasn’t intended to be as “realistic” as the Fast and Furious movies, let alone Mission Impossible 2, or anything actually plausible.

Torque came out in 2004. It's crazy that they actually made movies for dudes who aren't pussies back then.

I have it on good authority that some of the stuff in Sons of Anarchy is accurate although I don't think any movie/show ever 100% accurately depicts criminal organizations ehm, I mean clubs.

When Torque came out, they still made movies for men. Then the government came in with a mandate that everything had to be gay and catered to women because male consumerist culture wasn't consumerist enough and they didn't want to leave men with any cultural power because they would actually object to the ridiculous changes we've seen over the last 15 years.

Why does non of the black people in this movie feel tokenized? When all black people in new movies feel tokenized?

      Anonymous

It's because they are presented as characters within the world of the film. Today's films don't have strictly internal worlds, everything is meta and talking at the audience so the characters and plots are all "statements" rather than actually being characters and plots.

Whatever movie Vin releases next can effectively be a sequel. All his characters are the same and potentially part of the same VCU.
