It sounds good in theory but it's done in a way to absolve women of any responsibility to men so they can just continue to participate in their Chad harems without fear of reprisal, be it violent or men just refusing to participate in capitalist society anymore
This was the most vile thing about the movie. That after seeing the beautiful romantic that is Ken pour his heart out in a way that breaks the world, we should accept that "it's Barbie, and it's Ken." The complete destruction of romance. The destruction of a relationship between man and woman sold as a message of self worth.
Fricking depressing.
The only things I remember are the parts with Ken (the only good parts) and the tirade where whatshername complains about everything women do to each other.
> The "manipulating and lying it's okay when a woman does it and if you complain you hate women?
This. Barbie literally brainwashed her friends and manipulated her way back into power and we're supposed to treat it as a light hearted joke.
The entire speech at the end could have had the word "woman" replaced with "functioning adult."
These unimaginable encumberances placed on the America Frerra's character are just what it means to navigate being a grown up in a functioning society, and everything that she points out as unfair double standard screams self-imposed standards from a gaping insecurity within the writer's soul.
the message i got from the movie was that women are lame and gay and dudes are cool
I remember that they tried making some point about how the kens were wrong for taking over barbieland even though the barbies did exactly the same thing but I don't remember it
also funny how the kens were all highly insecure and suffering in barbieland but the barbies were totally transfixed and happy in kenland
>This is a movie about men not basing their worth on women!
What did Ken do for the whole movie? >Well, he was obsessed with Barbie so he basically did whatever Barbie told him to do!
And what happened at the end? >Well, Barbie told him not to be obsessed with her anymore!
And he did it? >Yeah he overcame basing his actions on whatever Barbie said and became his own man!
This movie didn't have any women with absolutely dump truck pixar mom butts or huge mommy milker boobs, so I had trouble paying attention to it. The kens having a dance off was funny though, I really enjoyed that part, maybe Im gay.
>Barbie is milquetoast girlboss neoliberalism >Oppenheimer is an overtly leftist critique of militarism
It's funny how the former is seen as more "woke"
I don't watch slop
the only message I learned from this film is that pol/tv tards can't handle trannies.
Even though it was obviously made to be feminist, I think it had a good message for men to stop basing their worth off of what women think of them
Didn't watch. So the message was to not try to impress the other gender or that men are worthless and you are a queenie?
This, and the importance of men supporting one another is what I got from it. It was great during Kenland when all the Kens became friends.

I liked how it triggered my AGP.

its funny because all the movies femsplaining was drowned out by ken and his bros drinking beers and surfing.

>Movie about a little girl's toy has to have a message
But it clearly has, and women are furious when men "don't get it"
>the movie made for girls about a little girls toy said EW BOYS
>WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?
loser.
You didn't get it.
It was a mostly fun watch but that fricking horrible speech at the end needs to be removed. Not even being a child, it's objectively terrible
I agree. What made it worse was the audience in the cinema clapped for it.
It sounds like it was written by someone out of touch with reality, I couldn't believe how much it was reaching
I think my experience was a bit more harrowing as the showing I was in was half impressionable preteen girls and elderly women.
This movie should have been warning to me.
>Wow we're just like Barbie and Ken haha
It stings to think about her.
The entire speech at the end could have had the word "woman" replaced with "functioning adult."

But being a functional adult is mean!
no, being a functional adult is *mean* but not TOO mean (This is SO FRICKING HARD, sisters, i can't even)
I don't really know what the frick it was trying to say and I don't care

People who say this is anti-simp are moronic.

Ah, yes, a wonderful movie about war vets becoming forgotten and homeless.
>Barbie is milquetoast girlboss neoliberalism
>Oppenheimer is an overtly leftist critique of militarism

In the 21st century militarism means bombing "islamo fascists" and slavic chuds for not being diverse and trans enough.
You also forgot that Barbie also is just "Purplewashing" of the brand that feminists used to hate. Suddenly they are defending Barbie.
I don't watch dyke slop
>dyke slop
Barbie is slop but not dyke at all, femininity and pink is what sells this
Lesbians come in lots of flavors. One of which is hyper-femme Barbie.
what was the message again?
The message was rather weak and confused to be perfectly tbh
