The cheap shit is contaminated because it goes through a bunch of middlemen who all cut it with garbage. It's not intentional, but a lot of dealers don't really care what they're doing as long as they can increase the volume of what they have. Although there are crazy people who ask for stuff with fentanyl just because they saw it on the news.
An anecdote among junkies is that when one of their friends ODs, they all rush to the dealer that sold that dose because they think it means hes selling more potent stuff. Junkies are stupid and crazy.
