>Get to theater and excited about Digimon flick
>Can even afford popcorn and drinks
>Parents look happy
>Angela Anaconda short comes on
>Parents also dont speak very good English
>My lil boy mind can't comprehend all the frick going on
>Parents are utterly confused by this Canadian frick running around in a Digimon suit
>I start crying and they pull me out of the theater
>Mom and Dad start blaming each other for going to the wrong film
>Dad throws away the popcorn Mom wanted
>Lots of arguing and I'm stll crying
>Get out to parking lot and drive off in a rush
>Get into an accident in parking lot
>Dad moves out a month later
Fricking b***h of a prostitute Angela Anaconda ruined my life
At least post the picture
Holy shit dude FRICK Angela anaconda I fricking hated that show so much. Who the FRICK gave that the green light?
Why are there Terriermons?
It is, the series was a perfect coming-of-age story that balances its large main.
Like it has 7 kids, and within just 10 episodes it gives them a defining personality, meanwhile Pokemon has 3 main characters and it can't give them personality within 1000 episodes, but their personality is defined by the monster of the week.
additum:
The remake of the series, misses the entire point and focuses on battles, rather the characters.
In Adventure, the battles always lasted 30 seconds, because the series wasn't really about Digimons but device to exploring the characters.
Much like LoTR entire plot exist as an excuse to explore the world
>The remake of the series, misses the entire point and focuses on battles, rather the characters.
I completely agree, but they completely succeeded in what they actually put their mind to, the fights in Colon were fantastic.
I guess that is what you prefer.
Personally, battles are nothing without substance
True, on the whole Colon was a disgrace and a poor imitation of Adventure. It has some interesting differences from the '99 version that would have been interesting to explore but never were, for instance Mimi as the heiress to a fricking conglomerate.
But it had damn good fights, Vs Neo Devimon and DoneDevimon stands out to me.
Really sounds like "limitations foster creativity"
The Adventure had a shoestring budget, so they literally did not have a budget for long battles, so they they focused on character drama and were able to put together decent 30-second battles.
Colon has the budget and it rubs it in your face with elaborative battle, and completely disregards everything else, because why bother when you have money for battles?
>Always felt this was the superior franchise...
Nope. Pokemon better. Seethe.
Pokemon is kid shit
>t. contrarian
Superior to what? Barney the Dinosaur? LMAO with that googoo gaga animé dreck
Pokemon has the better games obviously, better mangas as well, but movies and regular anime series Digimon is the best.
counterpoint: Digimon World (1)
it's literally the perfect game for a certain kind of autist who's much more likeable than hardcore Pokemon autists
>makes you feel funny
One of my first faps
Digimon had the better show, Pokemon had the better games
And these days the Digimon games are pretty decent.
True, they're pretty much reskinned SMT, but that's a good game.
When I was a kid someone told me they didn't like digimon because it was childish unlike pokemon. That was the moment I realized a majority of the world is full of morons.
Looking back Fox Kids was really trying hard to be the "edgy" network as opposed to goofy safe Kids WB.
It always was.
Kino
Our war game is unironically the best movie ever made.
