Dio, can you hear me? I am lost and so alone
I'm askin' for your guidance, won't you come down from your throne?
I need a tight compadre who will teach me how to rock
My father thinks you're evil but man, he can suck a wiener

>be 16 years old
>been learning guitar for a few years already pretty good at it and have a best friend who also plays
>always play guitar and hang out after school
>pick of destiny comes out
>funniest shit ever to a 15 year old, peak target for the humour
>movie about friendship and guitar playing
>learn almost every song from the movie with my bro
I will forever love this movie and I still play songs from it occasionally. Really encapsulates one of the best parts of my life
Jacob G, is that you?....
Cringe and reddit
homosexual and homosexual
having a childhood friend and playing guitar is reddit? doubt it
No friends? Sad.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAIT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT YOU MOTHERFRICKER
>write a song jokingly honoring the greatest song in the world that your band canonically forgot because you didn't write it down
>get a massive resurgence 20 years later because of algorithms and become a Tiktok trend
Has there ever been a more interesting career trajectory?
Everything I like ends up becoming a tiktok trend eventually. I must have good taste
a song jokingly honoring the greatest song in the world that your band canonically forgot because you didn't write it down
Check the original sketch in which they originally played Tribute. When JB is facing the Devil in the wrestling ring he does start playing the best song in the world as he stuns Satan, then they go back to playing Tribute
I loved it back in the day but the D are so salty, whenever people bring up this movie they complain like "OH YEAH? YOU LIKE IT? WELL WHERE WERE YOU IN THE OPENING WEEKEND?"
I didn't even know it bombed
all they care about is money
>OH YEAH? YOU LIKE IT? WELL WHERE WERE YOU IN THE OPENING WEEKEND?
at home
because I was like 12 years old
stupid israelites
I guess nobody bled for the dancer

AND IT'S ON AND ON
ON AND ON AND ON (and oooon and ooon and oooon)
Great movie
Love their enthusiasm for tenacious D, that's my only takeaway. The D will live again in some form.
That's really sad actually. They thought they were about to make it big, and the movie lost money. JB and KG should've focused on making music and touring if they wanted Tenacious D to be big time. Hackson's king kong took him away from all that..
It’s a bit
1. It's a bit
2. They don't act like this when people bring up PoD, they do the bit when people b***h that Rize and Apoc weren't made into movies.
fligu gigu
only a woman, can brighten up my dayahhhhh

GAVATAR
why did the devil accept the deal where he gets Kyle if he wins, when he was already going to take all of humanity?
and if you want to say "the demon code prevents him from declining a rock-off challenge", if that includes the stakes, why not just say "if you lose, you frick off. and if you win, you frick off"?
presumably if kage were to die he would go to heaven, but since he made a deal with the devil his immortal soul was on the line.
but it's just a silly comedy and they obviously didn't think through or take it too seriously
Cause that's not the code you moron
Also, watch the tv show
which one of the two alternatives?
I wish Ronnie James Dio answered my prayers...
Wasn't there a sequel announced a while back?
ACROSS THE DEVIL'S PLAIN
Honestly, it's not a bad film. It was just too late, 5 years earlier and it would have been out during the American Pie era of films where it would have been much more comfortable.

Oo-la-lala oo-papagenu he's my sassafrass
I always forget about this part when I go to rewatch it.
>JB doesn't get love from his dad, who prefers his other son
>Looks up to Dio as a male example
>Dreams of the Yeti as a loving father
>Has a song about him being a baby who gets no love
JB was kinda deep.
master exploder is the best song
You misspelled Classico
We walk side by side through the sands of time.
Your tiny mortal hand clutching mine.
And you ask me.
Dark master, where did your hoofprints go?
During my hardest times?
My son, I never left you. That was when I stood on the small of your back.
And dug my spurs deep into your thighs.
You see that pool of blood over there?
Yeah, that's your divorce.
The second one.
The one you said you'd do anything to make it work, you remember that?
That was me, making sure the cocaine was always around.
As I ram your carcass through an impossibly small hole.
Into a sea of flaming-hot human feces.
When you can't draw a breath.
Yet your lungs are filled with that same flaming-hot human feces.
No matter how fast you run or where you hide, know this; I am always with you.
Amused by your pathetic attempt to escape and I laugh like this!
Ah-ha-ha-ha-haa, Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haa.
Ha-ha-ha-haaa, hmmm.
First two albums were great. Everything after that is trash.
Can't you see he's the man?
Let me hear you applaud
He's more than a man
He's a shiny golden god
