I for the life of me do not understand why they haven't maxed out on Frozen. Frozen should have been a series several years ago. If Dreamworks could do it with their dragon movies why couldn't Disney do it with Frozen? It's such a missed opportunity. The Frozen show would have looked great animated in the style they used for the Tangled cartoon.

Maybe it is for the better. My hope for a good Frozen series evaporated with F2. They could/should have made a more adult oriented movie for the grown fans of the original yet they choose to regress. A kid-friendly or childishly-geared movie wouldn't even be a problem (they're Disney movies, after all) as long as the film told a good story. The problem with Frozen II was it was a horrible story filled with choices people wouldn't even think of, let alone make. You think "Frozen sequel" and you probably think "The sisters are a team now, they have new things to do, there's an actual villain for Elsa to fight with her magic, new characters, new dynamics, maybe Anna gets powers, maybe Anna loves Elsa with all her heart but doesn't like being 'the boring one,' etc." You probably wouldn't even realize "Elsa dumps Anna down a hill, Elsa becomes a white savior deity, the sisters separate again and Elsa leaves Arendelle, also let's address colonialism" was an option on the table. And you definitely wouldn't GO with that.
I still remember how exciting was the first preview trailer with Anna pulling a sword. Then they forgot it completely in the movie. Swordswoman Anna is still a key point for my ideas of a true series. Why can't western creators balance girly girls and action girls better? They are either damsels in distress or boys with breasts. >no Elsa returning from the forest to Arendelle because her powers are vaning >no mysterious faraway delegation bringing the vague prophecy of "The queen of Arendelle will die", not knowing which sister is this addressed to >no super cute new main character who eventually betrays the sisters and steals half the powers and looks of Elsa by the name Onion >no Elsa who can only create small constructs she can touch to reduce her powerlevel and open the door to interesting solutions during battles >no sudden Southern Isles invasion kidnapping the children of Anna and Kristoff >no unique clashes with the 13 brothers >no Anna and Kristoff versus punished Hans final battle where Hans confidently beats them both and narrowly escapes with the kids while Elsa crashes a gigantic ice battleship into the retreating Southern fleet >no second season where Anna cuts her hair short and develops an unique fighting style before attacking the Southern Islands and finally beating all the brothers >no Onion barely escaping with one of the kids while the other is saved >no reveal of Onion trying to awaken an ancient evil >no amassing a large army of friends for the final battle
Etc etc etc. They could do so much with the brand.
the direct to videos sequel sucked. I only liked the 101 dalmatians sequel and winnie the bear movies. if they kept disneytunes, they would had taken less of risk releasing this movie.

but I'm still impressed by how movie quality holds with the limited budget they worked with. it's not in the same level as the og but still close to enough in sense of copying it

You only get play on the radio IF YOU PAY FOR IT, meaning Disney paid to get that song on the radio for a month, and they were also paying tiktokers to make videos with it, to try and make it seem more organic than it was.

The third Cinderella is oddly good. It gives the prince a character and Anastasia is cute as frick in it.
Also Cinderella with 90s Glen Keane inspired animation styles is hot as frick.
