They're still going to double down with all the woke shit and release more sequels, prequels, remakes, and multiverse bs.

The arrogance of these mf is uncanny. It'll never stop.

Antman outright flopped wtf are you talking about. wakanda also massively underperformed but scraped in a minuscule profit so might as well have flopped by investor standards.
then they've got 'the marvels' which will likely tank so badly it might even top the flash's numbers.

you're right on guardians I'll give you that (shows how little I give a shit about the mcu now that I forgot it existed), too bad that's also another franchise they can't milk beyond that last movie and doesn't bolster the rest of the mcu at this point.

If you run a youtube channel you can aim to make money purely from views and ad-revenue (box office, blue ray etc sales)

Alternatively you can make your money mostly from shilling crap like male vitality pills or VPN services.

A Hollywood movie with a lot of attention can make more money pushing an agenda that is paid for by billionaires than from the box office. There are plenty of bilionaire feminists (such as beizos wife, zuckerbergs wife) and activist groups that raise billions for just this purpose.

Pushing ideology is no different than product placement in a movie, you do what makes money.

If this woke shit that is not popular with customers wasn't making money in some alternate way they would not keep doing it.

TL:DR fox disney and comcast made Hulu with a stipulation that any majority owner has to buyout the remaining stake.
Disney buying fox caused this stipulation to activate, meaning disney has to find the money for the shares, which at bare minimum will be the value when it was agreed on, which was 9b. If they’re forced to buy at current values they’re even more fricked

      >They have been through rough patches in the past.
Roy E. Disney saved them twice. There no longer is a Disney at the company. Who's going to save them this time?

        Blackrock

They own 6.6% and saving companies isn't what Blackrock does. They don't have the understanding of the company to turn it around and give audiences and fans what they want like Disney did. Throwing money at a company that just continues to run itself into the ground through poor decisions as other investors jump off isn't saving anything.

They’ve managed to make the words sequel, adaption and reboot, which have been industry staples for over two decades, into immediate red flags for normalgays.
The whole reason they subvert other companies and IPs is because they can’t make their own stand on their own two feet, and they’ve created a situation where competently made original IPs will be more valuable than ever.
      It’s all very amusing.

Hulu isn't worth $70B and even if it was Disney already owns 2/3rds of it. They have many ways of raising money to fulfill the deal if Comcast strong arms them (which they probably wont).

Blockbusters have become mundane shit like TV since most people are going to stream it when it leaves theaters while they post on Instagram or argue on Twitter. Why spend 1000 hours to make something great when you can spend 250 hours to make *something.*

      Anonymous

true I noticed that normies just love "streaming stuff" for weeks without actually caring about it. Friends of mine are already 10+ episodes (10+ HOURS!) deep into shows that they are still not sure about if they like it or not, but they just want something to put on whenever they are at home. Going to the cinema to watch a 2 hour contained story is dying out

What kid even wants to watch a new Indiana Jones movie? The last movie was 15 years ago, there haven't been any new movies or TV shows or video games or anything based on Indiana Jones. The Uncharted video games on PlayStation were derivative of Indiana Jones and were popular for a while but then Hollywood finally put out an Uncharted movie with Tom Holland last year which didn't set the world on fire.
