Disney is making fake reaction videos to drum up "Hype" for elemental.

yes i know i'll kill myself later

Disney is desperate? Do they really think that this form of advertising actually works?

You should've linked the official Pixar Elemental twitter account instead. It's way funnier since it's an official account that tweeted it.
>an official account tweeted it

You're right.
LMAO
I feel like I've lost braincells looking at the responses to this.
>Disney is sabotaging the competitor's movies
>Disney is paying critics
>Disney is buying movie tickets
>Disney is making fake reaction videos
what is next?
Disney lets something slip and reveals the agenda they've been pushing?
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tcr5rQ3Pr7o
I don't believe in t either, but having worked at a movie theater around the time CM came out, I'm left with doubt. Even our Thursday night screening was unusually low, and only the after 6pm, weekend screenings got busy (but even That busy). A movie could do successful with those numbers, but not billion dollar successful. And the only proof that people actually saw it was that people remember seeing and notably disliking it.
The CEO said "we want to push trans stuff on kids" rather literlly nd openly during an interview
I don't believe the others but this is blatantly fake
>It’s obviously a campy joke though, it’s not like Disney is pushing this as actual live footage from an audience
I'm not so sure. You really think Disney has given up and is now going for MORBIN TIME?
The only one I can't believe is the buying tickets thing because if that came out to the shareholders there would be a lynching.
Although there seems to be some kind if whistle-blower case going in so what do I know?
What is next: Disney shills ITT on defense patrol.
It may already be happening.
honestly the things tinfoil schyzo are accusing Disney nowadays are nothing compared to what they used to accuse them back in the day.
how is it tinfoil schizo when its literally in the OP them doing the literal thing they're literally accused of
Read the post i was replying to again to understand why i am now calling you a moron.
>Captialism is le bad
>But this capitalist company I love would never do any shady things
Leftists are fricking stupid
I don't believe in any of this, not because i believe they are above it, but because they don't need any of it
>Disney is sabotaging the competitor's movies
If you are Talking about Warner and Sony... Do you really believe that they thenselves have any conpetence?
>Disney is paying critics
They don't need to, they do it for free. They just need their guys to make most part of the rotten tomatoes score. They make kid's movies, the media sources that cover their flicks are already either bias or too casual to think outside of "disney = logic". Some pf their reviews are literally just for people deciding if the flicks are appropriate for kids instead of actual quality
>Disney is buying movie tickets
...Why are they flopping them?
>Disney is making fake reaction videos
But most reaction videos are already sponsored by either merch or invitations to events?
It’s obviously a campy joke though, it’s not like Disney is pushing this as actual live footage from an audience
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Prove they're not trying to push this as fact
>paying critics
>buying theater tickets
These two things aren't out of the ordinary at all
>fake reaction videos
they literally just did this
>Sabotaging the competitors movies
I would like a recent example of this, but they've certainly done this in the past too.
I would like to see what you have to say in defense of disney, anon?
>buying theater tickets isn't out of the ordinary
you are dumb.
>Disney is pointing us at the mascot character
Way to sabotage itself
>It is now public knowledge disney fakes audience reactions
Yes, a good bit of sabotage.
Are twitter users this dumb? It's literally just an ad
An ad featuring fake reactions from a fake audience deceptively filmed in a way that would lead people to believe it was an authentic theater reaction.
Nobody would think that though, it's just a meme trend dumb boomer. You can make fun of corporations for trying to jump in on memes but it's clearly not supposed to be real even if they didn't tell you it was an ad
I don't believe the Captain Marvel ticket thing because why would they do it once and then let so many of their next movies flop, like this one?
Because obviously that wasn't true reddit
Because doing that for every movie isn't sustainable.
They only do it for movies they want to have a "cultural impact" like captain marvel and this.
It's a really fricking bad ad, but the use of incredibly obvious stock sounds and the spastic camera shake is a giveaway that they weren't remotely pretending it was real though.
Probably because that is the meme template?
I think Disney just didn't want to spend the money to get real people to sit in a room just to make that video, so they just got an intern to do it and add stock sound effects, just to try and salvage this turd of a movie into something vaguely edible
>Disney didn't want to fill a movie theatre with actors for a 10 second tiktok ad to make it more unfunny
Ignoring the fact you are a boomer who clearly doesn't get the joke why the frick logistically would they do that? It's not a big ad, they aren't playing it at the super bowl it's just a small part of their marketing campaign. It's like making a tweet or them posting a meme and then complaining that they didn't invent their own font and instead just used the stock meme template because that is what everyone else uses because that's the fricking point of using the meme template.
>This motherfricker has never heard of astroturfing
Oh wait you called me a boomer, maybe you really are a corpo bot
It's a fricking meme moron Disney is making one for their own movie. You can make fun of them for that, especially since the meme is basically making fun of Marvel fans. I don't even understand what you are complaining about anymore
It's not "a meme", they're just trying to fake popular support for the extremely expensive movie that made essentially no profit, you're reading into it too much. They're not "doing a bit", they're just trying to get it out there so people might buy a ticket for sake of it, which never really works but they keep trying it. Like the fake Lady Ghostbusters outrages intended to just get people talking about the movie. They never work and they always just look pathetic, like this make-believe "oh guys everyone is loving Clod(tm)" attempt
Are you dumb? It's a fricking meme to have the audience cheering for a random character showing up
You must be making taffy, because that is a massive fricking stretch
Sorry anon, you must be talking to someone who's either willfully ignorant (moron) or too old to understand anything about modern memes (abe simpson)
At least they didn't paid Cruise and Spielberg to do it but people who might need the extra money.
jesus christ they really did just use canned laughter and cheers, that's so embarrassing
>When you are exhausted from being bullied in Flash threads and just give up and make Disney Haet thread #34,111
You girls crack me up.
>Hasn't been a Flash thread in 2 days now
You poor, broken homosexuals.
Watching them try to defend The Flash was the most fun I've had all month
Now they are going to bully Elemental and suck their thumbs and it's hilarious.
I mean when I watch two crack-addict homeless people fight in a parking lot, I don't really root for one of them to win, I just root for the violence.
Flash threads have literally been bullied off of Cinemaphile. I haven't seen one attempted since yesterday afternoon. Not even a "Oh my god sirs, Supergirl's bobs and vagene" thread.
Why did this make me instantly picture the kingdom hearts II roxas vs sora larp parking lot fight
It's not as fun as the BvS defenders, but still a good time.
The real fun comes from when they have to defend Ezra or try to say that he doesn't matter.
Well that's embarrassing
I'm a former sound editor and I recognize that snippet of audio of a girl laughing at the 17 second mark. It's from the Hollywood Sound Effect Library, and it was also a commonly used sound effect back in the day.
Not only that but the part where this dirt clump kid thing shows his armpit, you can even hear how they used a fade in effect when the "audience" is cheering. This is so downright sad it's hilarious.
You do realise it's not sad they are faking the reactions right? It's sad they had to do it themselves as some tiktoker will create it for them and get millions of views if people knew what movie this was. The reactions are supposed to be fake that isn't some big revelation you can tell by watching it otherwise it wouldn't be funny
Still sad. Even sadder that they think anyone would fall for it.
Fall for what Black person it's an ad?
Horrible bait
>Nobody liking elemental is bait
ADMIT YOU'RE A DISNEY SHILL OR PRETENDING TO BE moronic
RIGHT
NOW
>Fall for what Black person it's an ad?
The audience reacting to the dirt clump kid, you double moron.
there is nothing to fall for then
They have to fake the reactions because nobody is having them, they wanted audiences to react that way, they're not.
They're underwater with this movie. They'll probably try to drum up audiences by interacting with fanart in coming days and weeks. They'll also probably rush to put it on streaming sometime next month.
Not even worth a (you)
Will we get fake Ruby Gillman theater reaction vids?
Nah. At least that movie will do good in the box office hecause DreamWorks is better than Pixar.
I wanna call you crazy but Elemental opened to a stupid low amount and a dang Shrek spinoff outdid it prior to the internet latching onto it, what do
nothing new
You homies don't like Clod?
Frick you whoever put this in the replies section I laugh everytime I see it
https://twitter.com/wilxam45/status/1672066104754163712
>i-it's SUPPOSED to be fake!!
And? Still cringe.
>Makes something bad
>Gets called out for it being bad
>"Y- you just don't get it. It's intentional. It's art."
These motherfrickers just will never give it up, they will look you in the eye and assert that they did not get stabbed as they bleed out onto the pavement. They'll die going "haha get it it's like a joke on... What if... Like what if I got stabbed right, haha..."
It's called lampshading, its a technique done in a lot of really shitty comedies and films where, just because you point out a joke is bad, doesnt make it good.
So you guys don't get it? lol
Everything on twitter is cringe.
Jesus. That would be like Nintendo posting tweets of people playing the new Mario game on a Steam Deck for hype. Wouldn't Disney VIOLENTLY blast anyone posting camrips? They can't believe people would fall for that, right?
>They can't believe people would fall for that, right?
If they're doing it, it probably works. Even when its pointed out, disney has too much money and resources to not know that this type of advertising works
>Disney insiders have acknowledged recent box office woes were exacerbated by confusion in the marketplace from families who were trained during the pandemic just to wait for animated features to end up on Disney+. There is talk of longer theatrical windows for Elemental (June 16) and Disney Animation’s Wish (Nov. 22) in hopes of luring families back to theaters.

This shit is flopping hard.
