Later on in the story (you can watch most of the story chapters on youtube) Maleficent and Belle strangely enough become friends, keep in mind that she tried to kill them before Jafar stole most of her army behind her back. She originally intended to 'join' the heroes and use them as a proxy weapon to get revenge on Jafar, but during that she grew fond of Belle's intellect and cunning since she knew what she was really doing from jump. So since Belle reminds Maleficent of herself due to those traits, she's the only one of the heroes that she respects which cause Belle to be kind to her back, it gets to the point where Maleficent even offers to teach Belle some of her spells after being impressed with how skilled she's gotten through being new at magic and being self taught. They're probably my favorite interactions in the entire game, just for the concept alone.
I think they only added them in arenas because of the recent movie, but now that its over there isn’t any reason why they would be included in something else. Chip n Dale would likely be in different outfits at best

Disney Infinity had Phineas and Perry but apparently that set was a flop, and the older mobile games have Gargoyles and Kim Possible so I don’t know what the standards and rules are anymore. Seems the only hard rule is no Marvel, Star Wars or Fox created shows since even Muppets have showed up in one of these games.

Kind of a marketing thing. Mostly you just need to check the "Featured Prizes" to make sure the person you want is there, and then check the information button to see the actual odds. So even though the Stellar Crystal has a 5-Star Aladdin in Featured prizes, your odds of getting him are the 1% chance for a 5-star, and then 1/34 it'll be Aladdin in the base pool of 34 characters (certain characters, especially newer ones won't be in the base pool that most/all crystals pull from in an effort to encourage you to be more active and spend when their famed crystals become available that give you a chance to grab them, and then eventually they'll get moved to the base pool down the line). Famed crystals, like Zurg's, you still have a chance to pull a 5 star Aladdin, and in fact the chance of pulling any 5 star is a little better at 1.5%, but it's weighted so that you're more likely to pull Zurg.
After 2 years of posting Mirrorverse and spreading the word about it since 2020, it's so great to finally play it and see all the new people be shocked at it's existence and character designs. You got figures already made with more on the way and a lore book coming out in November, I hope the game does well so the concept can live on.
Not just an art book, it's gonna have in depth lore about each of the Mirrorverse versions of the characters, worldbuilding, the different locations, etc.

It's nothing super complex, but the characters do interact in the story.
I haven't found Aladdin or Gaston in the story yet tho.

Later on in the story (you can watch most of the story chapters on youtube) Maleficent and Belle strangely enough become friends, keep in mind that she tried to kill them before Jafar stole most of her army behind her back. She originally intended to 'join' the heroes and use them as a proxy weapon to get revenge on Jafar, but during that she grew fond of Belle's intellect and cunning since she knew what she was really doing from jump. So since Belle reminds Maleficent of herself due to those traits, she's the only one of the heroes that she respects which cause Belle to be kind to her back, it gets to the point where Maleficent even offers to teach Belle some of her spells after being impressed with how skilled she's gotten through being new at magic and being self taught. They're probably my favorite interactions in the entire game, just for the concept alone.

I think they only added them in arenas because of the recent movie, but now that its over there isn’t any reason why they would be included in something else. Chip n Dale would likely be in different outfits at best

No one is really hyped up for the game itself, it's more about what they're going to do with the characters and worlds designwise.

But its a kart game. Anyway, as of now theirs only one outfit per character and its just a change of colors. The kart is also cosmetically customizable.
I just noticed that from this two games (speedstorm and mirrorverse) they havent added a character or location from their tv shows. I was kinda hoping for Jake Long or Candace Flynn from this games.

Maybe Snow White was 14 in her first appearance, but she definitely doesn't look like that in the Ralph movie.
Disney crossovers are always weird like that, House of Mouse and Kingdom Hearts don’t use TV properties either, yet certain live action movies and stuff outside of the main Disney and Pixar canon are fine to use, mainly Pirates, Nightmare and Tron.
Disney Infinity had Phineas and Perry but apparently that set was a flop, and the older mobile games have Gargoyles and Kim Possible so I don’t know what the standards and rules are anymore. Seems the only hard rule is no Marvel, Star Wars or Fox created shows since even Muppets have showed up in one of these games.
They released this last year and Disney forgot about it already.

Can someone explain the summoning system to me. I can get 5 star Aladdin from one set, but other sets show 2 star Aladdin. Do characters not have set rarities like normal gachas?
Kind of a marketing thing. Mostly you just need to check the "Featured Prizes" to make sure the person you want is there, and then check the information button to see the actual odds. So even though the Stellar Crystal has a 5-Star Aladdin in Featured prizes, your odds of getting him are the 1% chance for a 5-star, and then 1/34 it'll be Aladdin in the base pool of 34 characters (certain characters, especially newer ones won't be in the base pool that most/all crystals pull from in an effort to encourage you to be more active and spend when their famed crystals become available that give you a chance to grab them, and then eventually they'll get moved to the base pool down the line). Famed crystals, like Zurg's, you still have a chance to pull a 5 star Aladdin, and in fact the chance of pulling any 5 star is a little better at 1.5%, but it's weighted so that you're more likely to pull Zurg.

After 2 years of posting Mirrorverse and spreading the word about it since 2020, it's so great to finally play it and see all the new people be shocked at it's existence and character designs. You got figures already made with more on the way and a lore book coming out in November, I hope the game does well so the concept can live on.

Not just an art book, it's gonna have in depth lore about each of the Mirrorverse versions of the characters, worldbuilding, the different locations, etc.

Disney Infinity had no story and was focused on the Skylanders type of merch and multiplayer, Mirrorverse is single player with different versions of the characters, each with a different origin, instead of just the character from the movie.

I am disappointed. I am reminded of when several media companies tried to get stakes into the toys-to-life market and crashed the entire thing and took out Skylanders with them. This reminds me negatively of Disney infinity.
