>How can they fix the brand?
From their own mouths:
>Let the past go. Kill it, if you must.
>Still thinks the villain of the movie was the one in the right
It is if we're being villains towards Disney.
Like you even cared this much about what or how well Disney did until that movie.
I've never even seen that movie. I just know the quote, and think it should be applied to Disney and all other old-guard media institutions.
>Suffer great loss
>Become greatest wizard in the world
>Go to island with your loyal wife
>Build a utopia
>Try to keep everyone as comfy as possible
>Start granting their wishes
>"Yikes, this lady wants her sister's husband. Sorry, won't grant that".
>"Wow, that guy wants fire powers. Sorry, too dangerous".
>People who don't get their wishes granted notice how others get theirs. You can see their greed. Maybe they are thinking about rebelling.
>You come up with a system
>"Okay, citizens. There're way too many of you now, so I'll grant one wish every month and that's it"
>You go checking citizen by citizen until you find something safe to grant.
>Those rejected are even more pissed off and those who didn't get a chance to show their wish are mad too.
>"Okay, you know what. Everyone who has a wish just give it to me and I'll make sure it doesn't make you suffer anymore"
>Storage of dumb and dangerous wishes begins
>Everyone is happy
And then your wife hires a Black person
Clean the whole house. Everyone's gotta go. They also need to scrap any future plans they have and get back to the drawing board.
>Lower prices at parks and convince theater chains to do the same
>Admit Disney+ was a mistake, kill it, and release all exclusive content on physical media at reasonable prices
Fixed
Oh, also no more LA remakes.
Disney+ did it mostly. Disney+ needs to show older stuff only, it was suppose to be the only way to watch Disney vault and all old Disney content. The problem is a movie now hits Disney+ 3 months later so people will just wait it out.
That’s it! You just hit it right in the nail! The original intention was that D+ was something of an alternative to the Disney channel and whatnot that showed off old content from their movies and shows, in addition to stuff like mando from their third party subsidiaries. But once they started putting out their theatrical releases much earlier on Disney plus three months later rather then what they used to do for the VHS and DVD/blu-ray/Laserdisc format with like 6 months or more. It’s not because audiences don’t want to see their movies in theaters because they’re bad or because of the supposed anti-disney narrative some people have, but rather it’s because many people got too accustomed with simply waiting for these features to arrive on the streaming platform rather than go out. That’s why movies such as strange world did BETTER on streaming platforms than the theatrical release, what Disney needs to do is release these films on home video first what like they used to do THEN release these on D+ after like over a year since their debut.
>100 years of Wonder
Yeah, wondering what happened to all the people who made good movies over there
Didn't Elemental turned around?
Elemental didn't even manage to break even
Well they have less films coming out next year, so from a quality control perspective that's a good start
Stop the Donald erasure and give him another film.
>Hard slow down on the Marvel shit. It's clear that people care less about it after Endgame and it's baffling that they thought they should try pumping out more content after most of their main characters died or peaced out.
>Go back to having higher standards for talent. If that means group photos don't make terminally online twitter troons giddy, just accept that and move on.
>Return to 2D animation, especially hand drawn animation. Disney's own separate animation branch from Pixar is nigh indistinguishable, and the art styles have been getting worse. It's like an incestuous relationship at this point.
You really can't fix the brand. Understand the following...
Disney is for girls.
There is no way Disney can fix this. All they make is for girls. The only thing they can do is somehow manage to appeal to girls again exclusively which isn't enough to carry such a large company. They are not Mattel who can ride the Barbie gravy train forever with ease as they are a small company. Same to Hasbro with MLP. Disney is doomed.
And Disney also has competition to deal with on the outside from other studios to gaming companies from Japan, anime, manga, and hell even internet entertainment like streaming and tik tok. Consider that Disney nearly DIED during the Dark Era with no competition back in the day. Fast forward to right now and Disney DOES have competition while internally they have hired the worst possible employees like Jennifer Lee and Iger who none of them you can actually fire. Disney is doomed.
>Consider that Disney nearly DIED during the Dark Era with no competition back in the day.
Really shows that Disney was always bad.
>All they make is for girls
Elizabeth became the Queen of the Pirates who lorded over the actual pirate lords. Lame feminist Shit.

Make good movies
