I think a lot of people probably think it's in Russia or just know the city but not where it is.

I think it takes 25 years for conquered territory to become a core territory.

I was the only kid in my 8th grade class that could pencil in all 50 state names on a blank map.

That film is so fricking bad. A minute before the clip the guy (Matthew Broderick) is singing to himself in the van. Its full of these heckin' zany moments, its so cringe.

That whole area between Croatia and India south of Russia is a complete mystery, I could look at the shape of any country and just as easily guess its somewhere in Africa with the exceptions of Turkey and Greece

Yeah I guess you're a bit like me, it figures, given my reasoning that those places are not very important (or Western, really)

You can probably find a fair number of Ukrainian flaggers who would believe you if you told them that Moscow is in Ukraine. They don't know anything about the region and are just being blind zealots going along with whatever pushes the narrative that orange man bad. They want their idpol-flavored socialism.

My personal stance is that I don't have a dog in that fight, BTW. Like them, I've never lost a single minute of sleep over Ukraine, but unlike them, I won't pretend like I do for the sake of political convenience.

The countries I couldn't name, aside from Greece and Ukraine, don't seem that important really. I was looking for a quiz/test where it shows you the shape of the country and you're supposed to name it, but this was still sorta fun.
