Andor was presented as a guy battling PTSD right up until his death. It's an intriguing character because it draws on a canonically sordid past of a rebellion that wasn't averse to committing atrocities for the perceived greater good. Andor is/was at the center of that.
My prediction is they'll stop short of painting the entire rebellion as morally ambiguous guerilla warfare, if only because they'd have to rewrite the entire rest of the bullshit they're pumping out over the next 5 years. They'll narrow down on one particular imperial general/planet/warzone and ignore the rest.
I actually have not 1 but 2 friends who, when i told them that they are planning to shit out like 6 more star wars shows have said: "frick yeah let them do it, i actually love Disney Star Wars and Jedis and all that shit" and that's where i stopped talking about Star Wars with them.
I used to but seems like The Mandalorian was a fluke because everything that's come out since has been mediocre at best. And the only reason Mandalorian is good is because it rehashes established western/samurai tropes.

The people in control never knew what audiences would actually respond to, and they have no reason to care anymore if “audience reaction” can be completely staged and all deviation from the astroturf can be characterized as from insane racists.
