Do people?
Yes, humans are social creatures by nature. Even the socially stunted and outcasted Cinemaphilenons try desperately to be part of some kind of clique even at the cost of their intelligence, morality and remaining dignity.
Not romantic ones.
I would say, no. I suppose you would need friends in a high stress situation like being a hero maybe
No. People irl don't need Romance, why would they? If you mean friendships, than yeah. Having a super friend to shoot the wind with and blow off steam with would be very important for maintaining sanity.
The move away from "normal human" supporting casts in Superhero comics was a mistake
Everything became the "Just Us" league.
Emotional support, friendship, and romance rolled into one person. It's not absolutely necessary but it helps.
Yes because all superhero writers of all time are in codependent relationships and the thought of not being in one terrifies them. Every. Single. One.
Writers are mentally ill and not in the fun way like artists
People need people.
It's true its one of the reasons I'm a mess.
Correct, but the Buttfamily is gay as frick.
Let me guess, he should be a complete loner.
Robin. That's it.
Bat family is moronic and decades from now will be looked upon as corny as the Adam West era, but without any of the humor and charm.
Batman is best when he has Parker luck, not when he has a legion of ass kissers.
Your asking Cinemaphile. What do you think they'll say?
It’s definitely a mental benefit, I wonder what would happen if there was a friendless romanceless person who suddenly gained super powers?
Most of the times, turn out to be a villain. Can't think of another example, but basically Electro in ASM2.
Same thing I do now.
Depends on the person.
Like me, I'm only a friendless romanceless loser because I was raised with a basic moral upbringing in literally the worst part of my state.
Yeah obviously some are loners because they're buttholes but it's not a 100% ratio.
Define "relationship"?
Because I'm thinking it doesn't have to be *romantic*, but they do need to interact with other people in normal settings to stay grounded and sane. I'm not saying Lois *has* to frick Clark to keep Superman sane, but it wouldn't hurt.
The only fun superheroes are the mentally unstable.
Yes.
Watchmen and Irredeemable made a point about this, if a superhero is commited to being a god like super powered being for too long that he has to forget his family, friends and humanity his only choice would be:
Ending up so distant and detached from humanity that they will end up nihilist and mass murdering or nihilist and wanting to leave humanity to itself.
So don't be asocial, meet your friends, do a walk, breathe fresh hair, have sex and live happy
Irredeemable's problem was that he couldn't forget and turn it off. He heard all of the screams of people in danger and in need all of the time, and he heard people being buttholes (like people calling him gay for wearing a cape, the dude he saved from pirates demanding he fix the boat, etc) all the time. He cared way too much, and then when he took a single moment for himself, a bunch of people died screaming for his help and he wasn't there. And he knew nobody would understand, if they knew - they would blame him for being a selfish c**t.
Yes. relationships with me
She fricks me only
Yes
No. Look at batman. He’s not in a relationship and he’s rock solid.
Even Batman has his batty family
Adding the stress of a relationship on top of superhero troubles would make them mentally unhealthy
>Do superhero's need to be in relationships to stay mentally healthy?
Romantic relationships do the exact opposite
I hope you will find a gf, anon
If my parents' marriage is anything to go by - it kills you faster than cancer. Why are you wishing death on me?
I have faith you will find a supportive wife that will maintain you with a job while you repax all day and she jerk you off while you play video games.
Is this better?
Imagine an incel superhero. No SJW author will allow it.
>Imagine an incel superhero.
...Plutonian from Irredeemable?
An actual hero. Being an incel doesn't mean you have a hair trigger and will go on an uncontrollable rage when things don't go your way.
. . . you didn't read Irredeemable, did you?
He's not an incel?
The Plutonian had way bigger problems than just not having sex.
>Fights everybody as if they were men
>Launches a female villain into the he stratosphere
>There's an entire arc of him getting cancelled by society
