Especially in color usually depends on the chapter or what region they belong to . 40 the most generic ones the ultimately and anti-affordee Space Wolves are blue and both of those two are seen a lot.

Space Marines can come in different colors depending on their group. Ultramarines are the most well known and are blue.
Just something I've recently learned about ultramarines is that they aren't blue with golden trims. That's just the second company of ultramarines. Every other ultramarine has different colored trims.
The same is true of all codex-compliant chapters.
There are 1000 space marine chapters each one with their own color, name, culture and symbol.
Ultra Marines are the blue ones. That one is the of the Blood Angels chapter.
