What's the best post 2010s Batman run then, Morrison's? I'm thinking it's Morrison's run Snyder's is decent up until Year Zero then falls apart but the only memorable thing about it entirely is The Court of Owls. King's wasn't too bad until the wedding fiasco happened and it went off the rails after that until he eventually got fired from the book from my own personal enjoyment I'd rank the three like this:
    Morrison>King>Snyder

Exactly my point. I called him out on blatantly tracing Henry Cavill for a booze ad and he got extremely riled up trying to act flabbergasted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Even spastically tagged Cavill into the convo like "Hey Henry, this clown thinks I based this character on you, when it's really uh, my father, isn't that ridiculous, can you even believe that, like!?!?" Would be funny if Henry saw it and called his lawyer bc that's the last it ever appeared.

Yep, he's a mega nepobaby who also has the power to keep his mom's identity out of the media despite her being a famous WB film executive. It reminds me of David Benioff. At this point you should assume everyone working at WB is a friend, relative or sex partner of someone else who works at WB and got their job that way. There's no talent-based hiring process, just hiring based on who you sleep with.

When I was working for a year at the DC office in Burbank, even the mailroom interns were nepobabies. I only got in because my boss recruited me as a non-nepo outsider who would be loyal to her. They fired my non-nepo boss after politicking her out 3 months in to my work, then office politicked me out a few months after. The nepobaby club works together to kick out non-nepobabies.

This is the rare instance you're talking to the same guy. Because notice how I said "Batman did not behave in any realistic way." and in the most straightforward possible I mean that exactly the way I said.
                >this is not a realistic way for Batman to behave.
                Which you interpret as:
                >this is not how a person would react in real life.

This is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to discussing to Tom King's books in that some chucklefrick will always claim realism to defend character acting irrational or in way that conflicts previously established personalities because hypothetical could act like that in real life.

                Anonymous

You're phrasing that as if it were some kind of fallacy, when in fact is exactly how realism and verisimilitude in fiction works. And no, not every reaction is realistic for every possible scenario. It's not realistic to start laughing and feeling better than ever after a break up, for instance. Regardless, you're butting heads while reinforcing the original poster's point that King DID make Batman more human. Yes, you could say he didn't act like Batman would because the original poster's point is King developed him, changed him. Morrison and Snyder's Batmans were so godlike nothing shook them. King made him more human.

If you're ok with saying that characters behaving irrationally is the only way you can write characters then yeah we end this so people can understand where this argument goes.

                >is the only way you can write characters
Why do you have to paint me as a strawman? My argument is merely that King allowing his Bruce to make more mistakes and irrational moments than Morrison made him more human, as humans are irrational too.

But not all acts of irrationality are the same, an irrational Batman should act like irrational Batman. What less human about King's Batman is the lack of curiosity about Catwoman being in jail for murder.

Yeah in that case I did which means that two parter must have not actually done anything and just tried to handwave Batman ignoring her involvement with those murders.

I remember the series well enough to know that the comic never had an answer to why Batman just let that go and went straight went to marrying her. You don't either because something tells you already posted the only page that you could use as proof.

                >the comic never had an answer to why Batman just let that go and went straight went to marrying her
It was Holly. Holly was the killer. This was revealed in issue 15. That's why Batman "let it go". You do not remember the comic.

Yeah I remember that part but you're telling me Batman just lets that go? He just accepts that Holly Robinson killed 257 people which Selina took the rap for?
                That's realistic writing for you.

Because it should be easy right? Just the page that proves your point...unless you already did and it didn't prove your point.
Catwoman is in jail for murder. Batman just leaves it at that? He doesn't look further then the fact that he can't prove she didn't do it? That doesn't sound like Batman.

                >Morrison and Snyder's Batmans were so godlike nothing shook them.

This is not an accurate characterization of Morrison's Batman at all. Morrison's run was all about the humanity of this godlike figure.

I'd say that was the start of the run on the heels of Infinite Crisis, but by the end he gets over Damian's death in a few panels and he doesn't really talk about Talia's death at all.

I'm not a fan of King's take on Batman but this was absolutely true. It was a common criticism in the thread for early issues before the Batcat shit became an issue. A lot of anons felt that Batman was too vulnerable and weak.
