How do you even access a janitor stall in a fricking airport. Shouldn't security be really strict? S1 came out the same year as 9 11 so maybe it wasn't like that then.
>S1 came out the same year as 9 11
Which means it was in production beforehand... Also yes, airport security and security measures in general completely radically changed in the years following 9/11 and other similar attempted attacks, false flag or otherwise... The world back then versus now is... basically unrecogonizable. Lil zoomie.
God she was such a prostitute
all the drama with her brother is some of weirdest shit ive ever seen in a tv show
The show started to really drag for me when they couldn’t figure out how to still have her in the show without being involved with Nate. The second to last season felt like the writers had no fricking clue what to do with anyone really
the show kind of went to shit after season 1 anyway. there was a certain type of dark humor in s1 that they completely dropped in s2+. i dont know why brenda and her moronic family was even in this show beyond 1 season anyway. she was a rude nasty c**t and the whole le heckin super genius thing never really meant anything
All the Nate stuff post s2 made sense, though, and it wasn't the problem. The show sort of loses its direction in season 3 and wavers for the next few seasons, but season 5 fixes that and gives us a great finale and a satisfying final season. Six Feet Under really struggles with having some kind of plot, that much was evident even so far as season 1 when they tried to do the whole "our family funeral business is under attack by big american capitalists!" schtick, but the show excels when it grapples with hard hitting questions and aggressively confronts the viewers with his fears of mortality and all the question pertaining to our fear of death, when it uses episodic deaths of the week to get more philosophical and to ask probing questions, dissecting the veneer of American suburban life and revealing the rot underneath. I found it really compelling, strangely therapeutic and loved Nate and Brenda. No matter how nerve-racking they can be, both of them are very humane and complexly written characters that the show clearly loves and does great things with.
Show was not good. It wasn't shit, but it wasn't good. It is not re-watchable because the tone of the series staggers all over the place and is also periodically block-selected for stupid long-ass storylines:
> "our family funeral business is under attack by big american capitalists!"
This storyline would start and stop in random intervals and never paid off, and was still a huge amount of screen time
This is true, gay drama took up another staggering slice of screentime
The Lily Taylor character just abruptly walks into the ocean at one point and dies off screen oops another season right in the shitter
Still, it was way better than Dead Like Me so I guess whatever
>This storyline would start and stop in random intervals and never paid off, and was still a huge amount of screen time
Not true, but the show does forget all about it after the first two seasons and the only problem is Rodrigo wanting equal partnership.
My younger brother keeps bringing his girlfriends home.
Hell or High Water is a hell of a movie.
yeah, but the women ugly and desperate for validation in real life
>makes incel thread no. 690472674 instead of actually discussing one of the most underrated shows
Cinemaphile is so moronic it isn't even funny
Show is gay and depressing. Gayer than Oz even
It's actually life affirming and beautiful in its own morbid way, filtered.
The women in it are so void of something. As bad as Carmella or Adrianna are they're still possessing of it.
>literally everybody dies in the final episode
And it was kino
We do yeah sometimes
You will never be a woman.
Yeah
>does Hollywood = real
gee i dunno
My record is 45 minutes
t. wannabe chad
>chads in the closet
>"mom, dad im chad"
I am a decent looking guy. Not a Chad. I fricked 2 random girls in the last month at parties after just having met them half an hour before. They were also good looking. Decent looks and drunken confidence seem to be enough but now imagine how easy it is for a chad. Literally has to do nothing. Also somehow both of them approached me but one of them knew from one of my friends.
congrats on the sex
I say thank you but i'll tell you that i much more prefer having normal sex plus the cuddling after it than fricking some drunk chick after meeting her only half an hour before in a shit stained club toilet.
nah drunk as frick 3 am half hard doing nasty shit while your both sweaty and don't know each others name is better
Only if drugs are involved too. Then its much fun, i agree. I have no idea how one of the girls didn't taste my extreme coke drip from the huge bump i did 2 minutes before she threw her tongue down my throat. She was completely against all drugs except alcohol. She probably had no fricking clue at all.
Weird flex but ok.
She wouldn't feel it unless she would've literally pressed her tongue against the back wall of your throat.
They were such a special couple.
100%. A girl I went to school with is an example.
Very good looking, not promiscuous at all, never had a boyfriend, despite being very popular. At a friends birthday party, his older brother's friend, a small time crook and singer, but good looking and very experienced immediately took her to the bathroom and did everything besides frick her, since she was a virgin. If someone told me that, I wouldn't believe it. But he did end up marrying her, so there's that.
awww thats kind of sweet 🙂
This whole show's a filter. If all you can focus on is Brenda's promiscuity, it's not for you.
she was a giant bawd tho, and a good friend
oh no doubt, but she grows and changes. The show is full of objectively awful people, but I like that.
>The show is full of objectively awful people, but I like that.
I don't think they're awful people, but they are a far cry from some idealistic depiction of American nuclear family and that's cool. Most people who have a problem with Brenda either dated one or mind well written, complex and strong woman characters. She is easily one of the best things about the show.
My opinion on her has changed almost every time I've re-watched. I try to wait years between re-watches because I feel like I relate to a new character every time, and there's something new to learn when you let yourself forget some things.
First time I watched, I was about 16 and I HATED Brenda, felt terrible for Lisa, and related strongly to Claire.
When I watched again in my early 20's, I understood Brenda a little more, found Lisa pathetic, and Claire annoyed the shit out of me.
Watching at 30, I LOVE Brenda, I believe Lisa is a manipulative butthole, and wish I was Claire again.
That's true, it's one of those shows that shifts and changes as you grow and look it with a different perspective in mind. I saw it when I was 23, I loved Brenda and related to the main and supporting cast in different ways, especially Nate, Claire, David and I found Ruth to be very fascinating since she mirrors my mother in a lot of ways.
Forgot to add, frick Lisa, frick Brenda's parents and frick Arthur's mother.
I love Ruth too. I've loved her every time I've watched. Seems to be my one constant.
She makes it easy to sell this show to people who like American Horror Story because they're all happy to see Frances O'Connor in such a great role.
maybe he hocked a loogie in her mouth
Frances Conroy****
O'Connor is her maiden name in the show, I think....
It's great a show like this devoted so much screen time to a retired woman and a widow, she's one of the best characters in the show.
>Do women really frick chads in the closet minutes after meeting them?
If the chad isnt a pussy, yes. If a girl wants you, nab the moment right then and there.
No. average woman is not like us they are pretty picky when it comes to sexooo.
>they are pretty picky when it comes to sexooo
maybe picky picking someone else
>No. average woman is not like us they are pretty picky when it comes to sexooo.
lmao
>average woman is not like us they are pretty picky when it comes to sexooo.
yeah,I also like to think that we are in 1935 and women are afraid of behaving like prostitutes.
incel moment
the sign says she was already wet
she has a cute little rack
does she show her breasts or is it another israeliteywood "sex fully clothed like normal people do all the time" shit
No. Brenda was uniquely loose, and it's a major plot throughout the entire show.
We never see her breasts, but she was actually pregnant while filming the final season so they are HUGE toward the end.
i love claire bros
>Do women really frick chads in the closet minutes after meeting them?
Yes. They also say "I usually never do this" or even "I've never done this before!" Which is of course a lie.
>ITT: Jealous virgins
source?
Six Feet Under. Currently on Netflix and HBO.
My ex was a fan of this show.
We met at a Zola Jesus gig and went from talking to making in a matter of a few minutes. 20 minutes later the place closed so we took a cab to her place and fricked.
I wonder if there is a connection here.
