Do you agree with her opinon on movies like Captain Marvel?
>They give her masculine traits to women to make them seem cool and powerful but they aren't actually vulnerable like real people or like characters like Mulan or the women from Ghibli movies.

I saw a feminist complain about the martian the other day.
She said it was too male centric and did not for her, a woman
The female captain for her was merely a man in a woman suit
Ans she thought the female.poop.joke was made in bad taste
who
Asian Girl that's into BBC
She's a commentary youtuber. She has nothing to do comics or cartoons other then the fact that she briefly mentioned what she finds annoying about #girlboss characters like Captain Marvel in her video about what's wrong with current women's comedy
/eceleb/
yet what's more obvious is that mega studios are running gigantic test screening process which has ballooned from merely getting early feedback incase something simple can be altered or if the title should be changed to entirely rewriting the ending or changing the fricking genre of the original film from tragedy to comedy.
Studios like Marvel are actively looking into using AI to write movie scripts that fit their criteria of pushing products with tie-ins, riding the wave of current fads, checking off the list of what mouth-breathing idiots in test screenings 'want' (if they actually gave a frick they'd write their own stories but they don't really know what they want or care so they never do anything creative but demand others cater to their nonsensical petty whims) and undermine the process of genuine creativity where you have great actors like Ian McKellen crying his eyes out in a room of lime green furniture. Where studios fire and hire big name directors for their project and you can't really tell the difference because all these big movies are the fricking same.
The purpose of storytelling gets lost completely and compromised more than it ever has before while the whole western world wallows in late stage capitalism Even old episodes of GI Joe or HeMan which were only vehicles to sell toys have better characters and plots.
Idiots tend to see awful female characters as 'masculine' because stoicism and emotionlessness is associated with the cultural hegemonic version of masculinity. No, Captain Marvel is stoic and emotionless because she was written badly and they were too focused on creating Baysplosion distractions and couldn't bother giving her a character.
I fricking hate late stage capitalism
Seriously? That's what you got off his rant?
commieshits have never created a workers state and their centrally planned economies are fricking garbage.
Who and why should I care
the moment you accept the transparently utopian idea that men and women are psychologically the same you already gave up any hope in actually understanding the real world
>leftist that finally agrees with incel strong woman complain
>incels first instict is to now say the opposite
Never change Cinemaphile
no one has disagreed with her so far tho you stupid schizo

Who's shitting on her because she's a woman? We literally do not know who she is.

I don't fricking care stop making these threads
are there any mcu heroes that are "vulnerable like real people" male or female? They all pretty much have the same wiseass with a heart of gold personality and the movies only give them the barest outlines of character arcs. Superheroes are power fantasties. They all just seem cool and powerful
>the same wiseass with a heart of gold personality
Not Carol, she's a no-ass with a heart of shit
> Masculine female characters are all portrayed as good.
> Meanwhile feminine characters are portrayed as crazy or evil.
> Yet there is also the very clear message that a woman without kids is worthless.
I don't know who she is, or what she means by masculine traits, or what Captain Marvel acts like. I think there was a trend like ten years ago of making female characters that have zero weaknesses, but that trend is over.
When I look at the prominent female action characters recent years, they seem vulnerable as frick. Black Widow is an insecure self-loathing person that dies because of it. Scarlet Witch is a depressed, mentally ill person that gets completely manipulated because of it. America Chavez was basically just a scared kid with superpowers. The two main female leads of the biggest Cinemaphile series in , Arcane, were both incredibly vulnerable.
You sound sexy

A BBC bawd
Thats absolutely correct and the whole issue. Shitty studios like Warner with Space Jam 2 think strong women means literally, physically strong and that's all their personality has to offer.
I dare to say that since Furiosa in Fury Road, no movie got it right. She was strong and motivated, but at the same time had a rather feminine motivation but gets emotional when the situation gets too heavy.
Meanwhile characters like Cpt Marvel, whatever shit happens to them, they have that fricking stone face and solve every problem by punching it.
The whole issue with toxic masculinity and dumb superhero tropes was just carried over to female characters. They are just the same with a swapped body. But THEN mass media, which previously complained about the male tropes. is like "so powerful, so brave, I literally cried".
