I genuinely enjoy letterboxd but reading the shit people post there makes me want to slit my wrists, how the frick is an entire website dominated by literal trannies and white women that can only analyze movies through a modern day westernized "woke" lens
I just mind to my own ratings and watchlist and try not to read anything ever.
Started a little over a year ago and feel like it will pay off in the future when I have watched thousands and look back on it.
I like the UI a lot feels nice to use.
I would bet a lot of money that 80% of the userbase are people like you and me, anon, not trannies and lefties. Everyone I know in real life who uses Letterboxd exclusively uses it to log movies, and hates the weird culture on there, I think its just a vocal minority.
All the reviews are either white girl gibberish, lazy one paragraph joke reviews or extremely pretentiously written wannabe Ebert shit. And holy frick the women on there are so horny.
Wish I could find that Balto 3 review by a troony that found a way to insert his identity into the movie and express horniness for one of the male characters
I caught a 48 hour ban for using a Ben Shapiro facts and logic meme re: homos and ywnbaws, yet my viciously anti-black Spike Lee review is still up after months. These Letterboxd users really are some seething trannies.
Yeah, it's how I found the site in the first place. Don't care for the social media aspects aside from following irl friends to see their shit tastes. Some of the reviews can be funny too.
>don't enjoy the review culture
I only read from those who I follow and sometimes new people. >Why don't use IMDb?
Its functionality and user interface are clunky.
>user interface are clunky
The only objective problem is limited search capabilities in watchlist and previously rated movies. For which they are already testing a new advanced search tooltip. What's "clunky" about it?
>Its functionality and user interface are clunky.
Zoomer moment
>Zoomer moment
I like the clean and organized layout of letterboxd more. maybe they should add trivia/goofs for an update. >a new advanced search tooltip.
meh, it's too late for me to shift now even though i last used imdb 3 years ago.
Its got its flaws and there's definitely some nostalgia involved but it doesn't feel right to rate it lower. Even when I show it to people watching it for the first time as adults we still have a great time watching it.
>under 300 movies >has the gall to post on Cinemaphile >pro
lmaooo so these are the homies who be saying those mid ass straight to netflix movies are kino?? embarrassing

anytime I see one of those I just block the account. makes the site way more tolerable
If you hate it so much why do you keep reading, unless you want to be triggered by the reviews?
How could anon be a victim of words then?
Just block them bro

Are there any actually funny/good accounts? Every once in a while I’ll stumble upon a good review but they’re always buried under the moronation

do you like this one?
> Do you give personal information to corporations for free?
No.
Used to but once it went full woke and pushed the troony agenda I left
No, I just rate a film on IMDb instead.
me two for the past 20 years. 3600+ movies and counting
I have only one list on imdb, I just add it there and give it a rating. Maybe read more about it later if I enjoyed it enough

Most movies aren't worth the effort to force yourself to rate or journal about. It's much better to just move on to something you do like
i boxd up every time a chud terf or incel triggers my dysphoria

Why do you use this site if you don't enjoy the review culture. Why don't use IMDb? That's my choice of kinodatabase

it's got nice UI even if users are mostly homosexuals or even worse women
Post your stats bros
Hocus Pocus ain’t that good man
