Do you care about spoilers? I don't know if it's because I'm not autistic enough, but I really don't get when people sperg out over spoilers.

No, its a modern westoid thing to get worked up over spoilers, because all their content lacks actual substance other than twists/reveals
It's normal for people to be invested in storylines, and following that storyline through its intended pacing is part of the enjoyment. You're too autistic if anything.
Spoilers have been more responsible for me getting into things I would've ignored otherwise because I made the wrong assumptions about them.
You'll never really have experienced it in the same way as the players that go in blind.
and if I had wheels I'd be a bicycle. so what?
My favourite genre is Mystery, and I don't enjoy being spoiled. Before I watched pic related, I didn't even know what the movie is about. That means there's two different twists in the movie
1. you find out what's going on
2. you know how it ends
If a person knows either of these, they can still enjoy it, but they won't be surprised at any point.
A person who doesn't care about spoilers likely only watches trash.
>A person who doesn't care about spoilers likely only watches trash.
Funny, I would say the opposite.
If you really care about spoilers you are probably watching low tier trash that's only appeal is shock value.
Okay, then make a thread about a movie you like, I'll filter it, and you can speak to the other pseuds. Are you enjoying /film/? Probably not, if you're here.
Dumbledore dies
Give me 5 movies you like
>A person who doesn't care about spoilers likely only watches trash.
This guy reads fantasy books
I don't read at all, and if you'd like to discuss books, then there's a board called Cinemaphile. I suspect that you don't even want to speak to others like yourself, which is true of all NPCs.
>I don't read at all,
GOT EM
Yes, you got me. You're making book readers look very good right now. Reply after the hide, consider going to Cinemaphile, check your other threads (all filtered) or open a thread that isn't visible on my board.
>doesn't read
>calls other NPCs
bro you really aren't making a good case for yourself here
You'll notice that the same people who 'care' about spoilers will often have no interest whatsoever in history, and any books they read, if they read at all, will be fiction fantasy.
If you love history and books, why aren't you on those boards? Let's hear this low IQ shit.
> when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object
It depends on the genre and the level of importance of the spoiler.
Like I might lose interest in a mystery if I know who the killer is and don't get to play the guessing game as I watch it. But "x dies" isn't a gamebreaker, because I still don't know how or why.
Yes I do care. I like being surprised by the things I watch. I don't care if some nerd successfully argues that it's irrelevant for the objective qualities and scholarly analysis of the product. I'm an ape and I like my serotonin.
If you have ever seen a great movie that you knew nothing or little about before seeing it, and you enjoyed it a lot because everything was unspoiled, you would probably not want all your movies to be spoiled beforehand. People go into movies reading all the reviews and blog posts, which not only contain spoilers, but also a bunch of opinions. You end up going into the movie with a bias based on everything you have read. I personally prefer no spoilers and don't understand why many people want to know everything first before actually watching a movie.
>why many people want to know everything first before actually watching a movie.
Autists like OP see movies as a product to consume, not art to be enjoyed/experienced.
Your enjoyment won't be impacted by knowing things about the film if its actually good.
Yes it will
You can hear the best joke in the world, told by the funniest guy in the world, it won't have the same impact if somebody explained it to you the day before.
I don't totally even agree with that, I watch comedy skits that I have seen before even when I could almost recite it by heart.
But a joke is always dependant on a certain shock or bait and switch, a good film is not.
>Psycho is not a good film
Everyone today knows what happens in Psycho though, it has whats probably the most famous scene in cinema.
it's still great to watch...
True. Who cares about set up, pacing, or mystery, I NEED MY DOPAMINE HIT NOW.
OP, you not understanding why people dislike spoilers makes you MORE autistic, not less.
No, people generally didnt care back in the day.
