Criterion is worst. At least shout factory is aware they are giving you shit but it's good shit. But both have basically already burnt through the catalogue they can offer that's good. Shout is now just regurgitating everything to 4k and copying all the other labels and putting out hk films. Criterion just tries to force Black person shit down your throat

Yeah I guess Criterion probably is worse. It's pretty much a plebbit brand at this point. Criterion cases suck ass too.

And you better believe I just DELETE all bonus xtra bullshit, that's for redditors, brother >No x265 no pussy. SNEED
Take a closer picture I see some cool shit there. I recently bought ninja scroll and perfect blue steel book edition, which was kind of difficult to find here in Europe. I also got the French special edition DVD of Irreversible (only in French and without subtitles because Noe is a moron)
Literally why isn't "no, I torrent" the objective correct answer here? Materialism really doesn't get much gayer than dvd/blueray/vhs piles
Sorry it's true
based. my collection lives on a NAS in a closet. what these goysloppers don't understand is that their collection that they spent thousands of dollars on and needs to be stored on half a dozen bookcases in their lounge room can be contained into the footprint of a single PC case. collecting pieces of plastic is childish, putting them on display in your home as a point of pride is mental illness. pirate chads never stop winning
If you like this many movies to the point of buying this many copies you have too low of standards in film as an art. A man's library should contain 10-20 films, no more.
I've been torrenting stuff pretty much exclusively. But recently I got the urge to actually start collecting 4k blurays. What I do is I still download most stuff (mostly 4k remuxes) and if something particularly impresses me, both in terms of image quality and how good the movie is, I'll buy it.
The thing that started this urge was after I watched a 4k remux of Suspiria (1977). I'd never seen the film before. Both the film and the 4k transfer is incredible, and I really wanted to own that release (the US Synapse Films one). And that opened the flood gates.
I collect them, but I keep them in plastic storage bins rather than on a shelf since I hate that cluttered look. I have a huge backlog now too. I don't understand how those people who compulsively buy every boutique release have the free time to watch everything when you get into all the bonus features that are the main reason to even buy physical anymore.
Most of my kino is DVDs from charity shops, bros. On a good day I get a dozen films for less than five quid. It helps to have a decent 65 inch OLED. Makes SD content look cash as frick.
I do and I have no sort of system to it. At first I just collected everything that was cheap. Then I started getting the boutique stuff but I found the movies to be all over the place. More recently I have been collecting king-fu and 50’s - 80’s monster movies.
I don't even have a TV. All my kino is on my phone from websites that let me stream movies for free. Like that slots free kino cam website
yes my shelf is full of blu-rays. I download remuxes, burn them to disc, and watch my collection grow.
how do you do that? Most 4k remuxes are 60gb+ while a BD only holds 50 at max.
I don't have a 4k TV. Sometimes if a 4k remaster is much better than the BD, I just take it and convert it to 1080p.
alphabetize your shit, what the frick is wrong with you?
sort by type, then newest. not alphabetize

While I agree arrow is overall better vs is not only goyslop
criterion is mostly goyslop though
Yeah they've been bad for a few years now

Looks cozy
who designed the damn PS5
Gordon Ramsey
that ps5 is as good as dead in that tiny space
must be nice to piss away that much money on toys to break by being moronic

Sorry it's true
But I like to own my movies?
Im the same, I just torrent them is all
Piles are gay indeed, but a modest collection of selected Kino is patrician tier. Digital has no soul
i'm in private trackers and don't do streaming. collecting anything is something fun to do with the wife.
With PTP being down I'm starting to see the appeal of owning.
You own it if you torrent it though?
I think you mean you see the appeal of PAYING
Also do region codes exist on blurays? Kek
I torrent, buy, ddl, stream legally, stream illegally, go to the theater, thrift, whatever. If I wanna see a movie, I'm gonna see it.

This is one of the most dogshit collections I've ever seen, you have to be an early Zoomer.
Frick you. Watch things from before the year 2001.
No. I own nothing and I'm happy.
Good goyim
arrow recently stopped doing the big box limited editions, just regular slipcover versions. poor business decision in my opinion

I think 25-30 movies is also reasonable as long as the movies aren't literal slop like OP's picrel.
Do you ever play with your little collections?

Exact same here, 15 movies so far
Yes but I hide them because my 2 year old daughter is a menace
I taught her how to hold discs carefully and put them in a player which is p cool

What the frick is the cringe as song playing the catalogue

Have for 15 years. Have about 1500 blurays altogether now. Will post pics when I get home if thread is still up.
Here's a little taste of some home video goodness
