I'm being honest. The area I live in this is not an issue. I've told chicks before how nice they look because they genuinely like the compliment or they are well dressed. I've gotten compliments in return out of the blue by other people for how I dress or act. I get this sounds odd. Especially compared to other places in America, but most people are just neighborly and don't have some ulterior motives to flirt..

Its not really about the compliments themselves but rather the fact that the men complimenting the women tend to have ulterior motives beyond simply wanting to compliment someone. Its a bit different when someone compliments you out of good nature and when someone compliments you either condescendingly or because they want something from you.

On a sife realness. When I worked as a cashier the only real complaints I received from my managaers, was to smile more. During my time working there I never made an attempt to smile at the costumers.

He was mad Aquaman wasn't like in old memes and Robot Chicken and that I bought the comics. He'd bring it up everyday and I'd just try to change the subject which only made him angrier. He bought Injustice when it came out to play with his kid and came to work pissed cause he kept getting beaten by his son playing Aquaman. Eventually I got called into a meeting with our manager because he was complaining about me. He seemed like such a normal guy so I thought it was a bit he was doing but it turned out he was just a huge sperg.
