Wait so before she could be aborted she floated out of her mother’s womb and shot up the nurse’s vegana? Is that what I’m reading here? I unironically would love to see Netflix try to adapt that

It says "surgeon's" you misogynist. More women are graduating med schools than men in the US.

Sadly the women perform very poorly compared to men. Their ratings are quite a terrible sight to behold.

Part of the reason is that women have an excuse to hate men, so they don't really feel obligated to perform in the first place. Since financials are private I think they just assume the males are paid more and phone it in.

That is what Millar loves to do.

I feel like it's a bit inevitable and if given half the chance I'd probably do it too. I'd just like to think I wouldn't be quite so moronic about it.

      what the frick?

Man these creators need to kill themselves.

Why does Cinemaphile wank cool powers and asspulls but Cinemaphile vomits at the sight of it

because anime and manga are for impressionable morons living in lala land.

And thats why Manga is selling more than comics now.

It's because of the fact it's super low brow. Western mainstream comics have tons of history behind them and inter-connectivity that makes people shy away along with actual dialogue. Manga doesn't have that for any of its popular works. Lowbrow is what succeeds and sells because most of the population is lowbrow so it appeals to them.

While this would be a convenient to believe, that comic books are consistently somehow DEEPER and more intellectual than manga, there is a simpler truth.
The majority of comics and manga are bad. Really bad. Cool thing about manga though, is that the western market has all the really bad shit filtered out. Crap that got cancelled, was reviled, or was even "mid" gets caught in the translation filter. If no publisher was willing to pay for a translator and determine if it was worth it, it doesn't see sale over here.

The simple fact is, the average manga you see on the shelf in america is just better than the average comic book, and thats why its doing better in sales.

I'm fine with most comic feats. I just don't like it when Millar does it. He goes overboard to let you know that a character is good and nothing more. Cinemaphile feats are pretty cringe because they're even worse asspulls than Cinemaphile feats.

Because typically with anime and manga it's all within the confines of that single work. With comics it's a bit more complicated as the authors are typically working with someone else's toys and said wankery often comes at the expense of other characters or is just a tactless attempt to make them seem cooler for an issue or run before they get ignored when the process starts over.

Most Shounen fights end with the heroes just thinking about their friends and overpowering the badguy in one hit despite being completely overpowered and missing like all their blood.

Half of DC's main stars are nothing but a series of asspulls. Superman and Batman in particular for a very, very long time would always find themselves in an inescapable situation BUT it just so happens they have the perfect power/tool to deal with this that they've never demonstrated before!

Hell, Superman couldn't even actually fly at the start. He could just jump moronly far.

        Presentation.
Manga are more happy to embrace their spectacle and silliness than most mainstream Big 2 comics.
Imagine anyone at Marvel or DC (or even most of the smaller publishers) writing something like Baki.
The willingness to adopt that kind of tone just isn't there.
