yeah my mom used to buy me toys as a kid randomly and I didn't know who venom was but I came home one day and she gave it to me, and the package said venom sling on it so I thought sling was his last name for years
didn't really know what his deal was at all but it was cool so I played with it a lot
then I was over michael hennesys house and he had a red one that was much cooler looking, and I said is this venom sling? and he said no that's carnage
I coveted that toy and eventually stole it when we were playing outside
he thought he just lost it in the bushes but it was secretly under my bed at home
I used to steal my cousin's spiderman plushies each time he left them at my grandparents' house because he was so anal about me playing with them. A few years later his dad was locked up for shooting some guy who was cucking him and causing a police standoff in which he used his baby as a shield. Now those plushies are hanging up in a hammock in my room along with some Sonic ones while my uncle is rotting in jail and my cousins have probably trooned out by now.

My favorite Venom is Raimi's in Spiderman 3, which is funny because he ruined that movie. But that iteration being more like a animalistic demon that possesses people is way more interesting to me than the actual Venom character, which is too cheesy and has too much personal baggage for my tastes.
