Regulations towards ads to kids means they can't sell the ads they want.
Plus kids aren't gonna spend hours watching old-ass cartoons on linear TV.
Like, who is this channel really for? People born before 1995?

MeTV gets 600k average views and that’s propped up with the average 500k-1.2 million that their cartoon block has gotten
        They will be alright

Still have DirecTV at our house, whenever i check the menu it's just
    >CN: ttg, gumball, modern warnershit
    >AS: bob's, KOTH, r&m
    >Nick: paw patrol, spongebob
    >Disney: p&f, gravity falls, amphibia, owl house
    >Everything else is the same movies from the last 23 years or the 80's, crime drama and/or "reality" pigshit
    >Can't stream, Can't pirate
This is why i watch YouTube all day and have spent hundreds of dollars on DVDs and blurays the past 6 months.

America, but i'm poor, stupid, and don't have anyone to sort shit out for me.
My only Internet connection is through my PS4's Internet explorer with my shitty flip phone's wifi, which is slower than 1 mbps.

cant stream or pirate? how is that possible?

        See above.

is pretty funny how every 2 months there is a marathon of the entire LotR trilogy followed by snyder shit. This happens on multiple channels so i'm pretty sure you can watch the same movies weekly as they take turns.

Which is the major reason i despise the lotr/hobbit, harry potter, twilight, and to much lesser extents Jurassic park/world, mcu, and dceu movies, i'm so goddamned tired of even seeing them on the menu.
It's the television equivalent of meatloaf, minus the good parts.

Cable today hates variety, or any effort to make a compelling schedule. Streaming didn't kill cable, their schedules did.
Besides, you can already watch all the shows and movies they spam on several streaming services.

More like cable channels are addicted to ad revenue. Playing the same shows over and over makes it easier to sell ads.

That reminds me, every Tuesday and Thursday, the official Pokemon channel on Twitch streams episodes of the Pokemon anime for a few hours, and that's got me wonder why don't other companies like CN, Nick, etc. do the same thing, 'cause I'd definitely leave it up as ambience where as I don't really care for cable anymore.

Paramount bought PlutoTV for that very reason. The have like 5 Nick fast channels.
The consumer needs to look beyond twitch and youtube for background noise.

pokemon has an official webpage with every single episode in every single language that has ever released.
It's insane. Gamefreaks is fricking trash, but the anime has really did the bare minimum for the fans and acomplished what the entire industry has failed to do for decades.

    I haven't had cable since like 2013.
That said, streaming is basically just becoming cable 2.0, so soon I won't have that either, I'll just be pirating everything I watch instead of only pirating 80% of what I watch.

Cable channels dont wanna do anything with animation anymore. CN stubbornly refuses to stop airing toddler slop and nick just wants to make spin offs to shit like FOP and disney channel cancelled all of its good shows in favor of more povenmire slop. And streaming atm doesnt want to do anything with animation either so we are fricked currently

More reliable for preservation, but it's not worth paying hundreds of dollars only to have it prop up truely worthless channels.

    >Do you still believe in streaming?
It's convenient, but even more shows will be lost merely because the rightsholder/stream platform will simply memoryhole anything on a whim.

cable its cool for when you cant decide what to watch so you just choose a random channel.

i only really have cable because it comes with my internet,

Cable channels don't believe in themselves anymore. I like linear networks but hate their schedules. Give people a reason to stay subscribed to cable, because Nick's free channel on Pluto TV has far more variety than it's pay services.

There's barely a difference at this point. Give it a year and I'll bet all the services just give you a big bundle and everybody will say it's better, then by 2026 they'll jack up the price and we'll come full circle
