As a 5'6'' I feel compelled to write this essay after reading such horrible comments in this thread against something that people can't control.
The bagel guy acted like anyone who has been bullied since middle school would when you finally reach the point where there's no hope in having support, understanding or simply equal treatment from fully conscious adults. He commented on the video how the female worker smirked at him(obviously due to his height), and that is on the same level of racism. Imagine being the subject of a joke throughout your life because of your genetics. It truly is a constant feeling of worthlessness as person.
The people praising the treatment he received are simply evil. You lack enough empathy to be considered a good person. You don't see any value in that man other than the value a clown has in a circus, except being short isn't a profession dedicated to make you laugh.
It reveals the level of narcissism in this modern world, where those who call others insecure are themselves insecure, since they latch onto any opportunity to disgrace someone they consider inferior, just to feel better about their own shortcomings, of which there're plenty.
Also, height shaming makes you a shallow b***h, regardless of your gender, since completely evaluating a man based on his appearance is unfortunately, a very woman thing to do. It's also stupid, since by putting men down, you automatically elevate the value of those creatures that are already put on a pedestal in this society, thus decreasing your value as a men.
