I have to imagine he's his legal guardian, right? That's the only way he'd be able to keep living in the mansion instead of being sent to an relative or family friend.

I mean that depends, how private was his life? Because it varies, sometimes he’s like a wealthy socialite celebrity and others he’s more of a shit in.

It was always weird to me how he kept doing the job of a Butler even though he was almost certainly declared the trustee for the Wayne fortune. Instead of getting a new parent OR a new butler, Alfred just did both jobs and no one questioned it.

The more I think about it, the harder it is to believe that at no point in the 10 or so years he spent raising Bruce, no one took him aside and asked him "Dude, you realize that this is a really bad idea, right? You can maybe be a father to the kid, but can you really be father, mother AND butler? Maybe pick one to focus on and use all of this money to hire people to fill the other roles?"

Realistically, the Waynes would have put it into a board of trustees, assuming that most of them aren't allowed to be managed by the subsidiaries that belong to Wayne Enterprises. The only reason he's in charge of that much dosh with no oversight is a straightforward port of the Victorian orphan and guardian trope, which still exists today.

It's a case where the pre-crisis version was actually more realistic. Bruce got raised by an uncle. I think they were recanonized in New52 but I didn't read it.

He should be right? Alfred himself probably has a little stub of a page if his service record is public.

    Yes.
Alfred was rumored to have been covering for Bruce during the Fairchild murder. It was a trial equivalent to the OJ murders in terms of infamy. The paparazzi knew his face and name.
Then Alfred was part of the conspiracy theories surrounding the Waynes during Batman RIP.
Then, more recently, Dick created a massive charitable foundation in his name, created a massive public park on the Bludhaven waterfront, and put a statue of him in the middle of it.

What villains would have their own Wikipedia page?

Joker and Penguin I feel like the most likely
I also feel as if the Joker would actively vandalize his and batmans to the point both are locked

        >Villains trolling wikipedia
Dastardly! The riddler's page has been vandalized to say he WILL be the most infamous rogue of all time... but makes no mention of how, or why.

I'll give you a category page and a broad "Supervillains in Gotham" article that was updated two reboots ago.

I don't think you're giving Wikipedia autists enough credit.
I've always thought Superheroes to be like firefighters/cops mixed with celebrities, so similarly, Supervillains are pretty much terrorists/criminals mixed with celebrities too, they'd have all their histories documented as much as they could online.
Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if one or more Gothamites lived there solely to keep up with the constant attacks on the city, you just know they had their work cut out for them going from City of Bane, to Joker War, to Fear State lol

I guess it depends to what degree Batman's attacks change the landscape of Gotham, be it socially or politically. If he's just a guy in a leotard foiling silly plots it remains niche, but if he prompts a movement (and that's assuming this isn't seen as a Joker movement either) it could reshape everything in Gotham and their America more broadly.

Yeah, probably in Bruce's early life section. Brackets around things with a Wikipedia page.
    >[. . .] On the night of June 26, 1990, an eight-year-old Wayne attended an anniversary showing of [The Mark of Zorro] with his parents. Upon exiting the theater, [Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed] by two bullets fired by [Joe Chill] in an [armed robbery]. Forensic examination later revealed Martha died immediately due to the gunshot wound to her head; Thomas was determined to have bled out prior to the arrival of first responders. Despite private efforts of [Jacob Kane]* to adopt Bruce, Wayne butler Alfred Pennyworth became Bruce's [legal guardian]. [. . .]

    >*Redirected to [Wayne family] page, with a section devoted to the Kanes.

Would Joe Chill have a Wikipedia page? Is it even public knowledge that he specifically killed Bruce's parents?

Probably, but a short one. More like Robert John Bardo than a lengthy page like Lee Harvey Oswald and James Earl Ray’s.

Probably. He was his legal guardian since Bruce was 8 years old which means he was in charge of the Wayne estate for a decade.
