I've heard going cold-turkey can be dangerous if you've been consuming a lot of alcohol, so maybe don't do anything rash. Talk to a doctor.
Take some time off work and go to a Detox Clinic, you may have to admit yourself to a Hospital and have them send you there. After that I recommend Rehab if you can afford to take that much time or Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP) if you need to work. The IOP I went to, the group met 3 times a week for 3 hours. Couldn't have gotten sober without it. But you have to want to quit pretty bad, there's no half-assing sobriety
