i remember this afterschool special or something where he played this guy who killed someone with his car and he just cried talking to his imagined version of her. great performance, too bad you don't see him in much now
Hes still around. He pops up in at least 2 decent movies a year. I feel his presence usually makes a movie better. He was easily the best MCU villain and he needs to come back. He was also great in Ninjy Turtles back in the day
I remember him on the original TMNT movie where he played a troubled youth then gave it all up to the cops the first chance he got. He's a good actor he always makes for a good comedic piece in a movie.
my gf loves him but i personally think he's a unremarkable. he's a good "fill in" actor. to fill in background parts or small roles, but he just isn't standalone star material.
>Seven Psychopaths >Moon >Galaxy Quest
All great movies that would be lesser without him. I honestly need to catch up on his filmography, is Blue Iguana any good?
Moon. There's more but if you don't agree with that then you probably shouldn't be here. That's real acting.
>mfw watching that scene in Interstellar when Cooper watches Murph's videos after having already seen Sam talk to Eve in Moon
Don't get me wrong, visually? Interstellar is beautiful, and I like Matthew McConaughey, but holy shit how do people take this movie and the abhorrent script and acting seriously?
Also Moon is if Blade Runner was written by somebody competent. Sam's thematic story is essentially Roy Batty, but instead of being a psychopathic butthole and his "experiences" being relegated to off-screen monologues, you spend 90 minutes with Sam actually seeing his story play out instead of with an emotionless Harrison Ford whose character is ultimately unnecessary to the movie.
Without question. His range is amazing, and he never has to do crazy physical changes or awkward method acting during productions. You always know it's him even if he has slight changes like longer hair, facial hair, glasses, etc... but by the end of his first scene the character shines through. Wild Bill, Justin Hammer, Sam Bell, Guy Fleegman, Billy Bickle, Jason Dixon.
A true professional, master of his craft.

>Star studded cast >No needless romance sublot >Decent little twist revealing the true antagonist >A good clash of serious and comedic characters >Doesn't overcomplicate things too much but has some interesting revelations by the end >Humour is pretty solid and doesn't tread too far in to quirky capeshit quips like a lot of modern movies do
I really think the only substantial flaw it has is the pacing in the third act, otherwise I don't see how anyone could consider it bad or less than pretty good. I called it great because I truly believe it is.
Seven Billboards was his best roll. It's amazing how well suited he is for a stubby, dumb, bully, hick cop. My favorite movie of his is Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

is it possible to learn and dance like him?

He was phenomenal in Moon where he was the centrepiece.
Yeah he's really fricking cool. I also like that he seems picky when it comes to his roles.
he's literally a Cinemaphilecore actor
Yes ever since i first saw him seducing young Mischa Barton in Lawn Dogs.
What a great lil film.
Me too, he showed amazing restraint in that film (as an actor)
Moon (2009) convinced me that he was a good actor.

Bladerunner is great. Deckard is a replicant. Eat it.

Yeah I like him. Moon was good
i don't know yet, let me see if i agree with his personal political and religious beliefs first. that's how america works now right?
Kinda? I've met him a few times, he's......a bit of a dick?
>Anon eagerly awaits for the "How was he a dick?" response.

He has always been a favorite of mine, one of those guys who doesn't get a ton of leads but always gives a good performance.

I got your back anon
That other anon doesn't know what he's talking about
Because the plot sucks shit. All the great acting and little quips spoken can't save a movie if its premise and story are garbage.
What exactly is so bad about the plot?
>Seven Redditors
Looks like tom cruise without all the botox and hair plugs
Moon. There's more but if you don't agree with that then you probably shouldn't be here. That's real acting.
Get me Tom Cruise's non-union replacement!
yes
I confuse his roles with Dax Shepard
He was in that weird movie Confessions of a Dangerous about Chuck Barris.
he is a fricking genius in this. his finest performance
I got my first blowjob during the movie with jonah hill where Sam is the drug dealing villain
I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for him
That’s a pretty gay story, bro.
Traditionally this is the part where someone asks "what was his name?"
Her name is Emily and she’s MTF trans so looks like you’re both wrong again.
This homie was in the 1990 TMNT movie. He can do no wrong.
"Regular or menthol?"
He's basically budget Edward Norton.
He aight I guess
Moon is basically perfect. Good enough for me.
Choke (2008) is underrated.
Yeah, Moon was kino.
He's one of my barometer actors. If he's in it, it's probably pretty good.
I love Sam Rockwell, he's great in everything.
He's been great on everything I've seen him in, and I've even seen Mr. Right.
i liked him in the way way back, mainly because i used to go to water wizz all the time as a kid
I like a different Rockwell
You think I'm some sloppy wet pussy for you to frick? Is that what you think?
>*dances your film into instant-kino*
He looks lame but is actually really charismatic in his roles
My two favorite Rockwell roles are in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
He says the N word. I like him.
