It's way too soon yet, the wound too fresh. One day years from now I'll watch the first few seasons and enjoy them and then get depressed cause Winds still wont be out.
No. It’s the fastest a big show was forgotten. It was the biggest thing for decade outside of Marvel and people just stopped talking about three days after it ended. It’s insane, like it never happened.
It was a hype train. The appeal of the show was what was going to happen next. Once you realized it’s all for nothing you lose interest. The fantasy element is bland and the political elements are t very deep. Dialogues not very good either.
Why do you autists think people need to be constantly talking about old media for it to have ever been good in the first place? Especially with basic b***h shit like Game of Thrones?
It's not just talking, the merch for it was almost ommipresent but then just dropped off the earth. I used to be able to count the number of morons wearing these dumb "winter is cooming" type t-shirts, haven't seen one since the end of the show.
Dany plot burning KL was actually fine but rushed.
Others plot was fine until the big fight which basically cut it abruptly(also cutting out azor ahai prophecy was the biggest sin of the show).
Every other plot point was executed terribly(Euron being two characters merged and rushed, scorpions killing dragon out of nowhere, characters teleporting left and right).
I can't do it. Even though seasons 1-3 are good, they're overshadowed by the awful ending, knowing that none of the story threads have a satisfying conclusion
Something about it hasn't aged well. Maybe it is just knowing the last seasons are terrible, but I've attempted to restart this from the beginning and I can never make it through more than a few episodes.
I think it's partially due to the mystery of the show fading after the first couple seasons. When the white walkers kill those rangers in the opening scene there's a lot of mystery there, like "ooh what are these where did they come from". Then there's that part with the dragon eggs. Obviously they can hatch then later in the first season we see Jon kill a wight with fire and you see the dragons come to life in the s1 finale. So its pretty easy to put two and two together and know that the dragons are going to destroy the white walker threat while the rest of the kingdom just fricks around.
I would habe been happy with the rest of the kingdom just fricking around. That was the interesting part. The white walker threat was best when being off-camera. It's coming, but never there. Don't need fricking dragons either. Not a girl.
I haven't yet but I probably will this year.
The ending wasn't terrible, I was alright with most of it, it was just terribly rushed. I loved how triggering it was to yaskweenz and jaimestans.
This, I had no problem with any of the characters' fates, the biggest disappointment was the fact that none of the magic or supernatural elements of the show had any meaning at the end..
Watching videos about people shitting on the last few seasons of the show is far more enjoyable than actually watching the show itself. There will never be another series that starts off so well and ends so poorly to top the dumpster fire that was Game of Thrones.
I have the 4K but haven't watched it yet. When the show was still premiering I rewatched the entire thing before every season so I've probably seen the entire run 8 times.
i rewatched the last season a week ago, wasnt as bad as i remembered when it first dropped, only part that was atrocious was the dragons getting killed by euron randomly the bran the broken bullshit and lord of the rings rip off ending, even arya killing the night king was justified by the blue eyes prophecy even though the invincible assassin shit is moronic when jaqen hghar got himself captured and followed a strict code on killing not just anybody
I found myself watching a few clips (from the early seasons) on YouTube a couple of weeks back. I would never go through watching the rewatching the entire thing, as I was largely checked out by S6 (I had problems beginning back in S5) and was only half-focused (not dropping it completely whether that be a sunken cost fallacy, wanting to keep up with the conversation) in my watching of S7-8.
I want to rewatch s1, see if it actually holds up to me saying first three seasons are some of the best TV out there.
It went to shit with 4, is what I say. Hollywood writing: world shrinking, everything panning out conveniently, repeats and repeats of certain emo scenes off the beaten path until they became the beaten path...
I still watch early clips from time to time, especially Tywin and Bobby B but I'd never re-watch it. That said I was never a die-hard fan like some, and its actually not the worst ending to a series I've seen, that honour must go to SnK
Rewatching any of this show, even the kino shit, is like fricking a girl that you know will commit suicide a few weeks after
No rubber required then
Yeah I slept with a friend I knew who depressed and a week later she tried to kill herself.
Wasn't fun.
Wow you were that bad?

Kind of happened to Lost too. Maybe not as severe.
you shut your fricking mouth about Lost. I cried like a baby in that final episode
This means the show wasn't that good.
It was pure nihilism.
It was a hype train. The appeal of the show was what was going to happen next. Once you realized it’s all for nothing you lose interest. The fantasy element is bland and the political elements are t very deep. Dialogues not very good either.
Bullshit.

Frick no.
I still rewatch some cool scenes on YouTube but I'll probably never watch the show again.
in 10 years people are gonna say that the last season was good, just like the prequels.
boomers love justifying pop culture trash.
I've been saying the last season was good since it aired. Everyone else was filtered. You'll come around eventually.
The basic outline is OK. It's just the execution.
this.

Like eating a sub sandwich knowing there's a little bit of shit at the end.
the first four seasons are still excellent television
everything from s05e01 onwards is garbage
Something about it hasn't aged well. Maybe it is just knowing the last seasons are terrible, but I've attempted to restart this from the beginning and I can never make it through more than a few episodes.
The whole show just establishing scenes building for something big in the future that never comes and never pays off.

>Something about it hasn't aged well.
All the buildup of the white walkers for them to get killed by a teenage assassin is the real reason its a joke.
s1-4 and then the battle of hardhome. rinse, repeat
Jon's death, Cersei trial and "Hold the Door" scene as well.
People will watch this again once house of dragon is out.
they wont watch either. GOT is dead.
I haven't yet but I probably will this year.

I did
Last two seasons sting a bit less knowing how shitty they are beforehand
Watch until half of season 5 (they run out of source material after 5x5) and descend into shitty fan fiction.
LoL frick no!

Its not so bad binged.
The delays and weekly airings really hurt it
I watched everything up until season 6
yes i rewatch it for the high sparrow
>kill off Stannis and dump all of his plot threads on Jon Snow because they just like him better
They did my boy dirty
I have the 4K but haven't watched it yet. When the show was still premiering I rewatched the entire thing before every season so I've probably seen the entire run 8 times.
>shitty last season?
Its all shit. Ol fat martin was too busy wondering about aragon killing baby orcs he didn't bother to finish his own books.

never has a show shit the bed as hard
havent deleted the eps but cant watch again
