Yeah but I still think we could do it. I've seen a lot of creative writing and cool ideas on Cinemaphile in my time. As well as very neat oc and characters that's got to count for something.

I want more of the 1000 years in the future adventure time. Seems to lean way more on the 'apocalypse' vibe, other people are rare and there's a more somber beauty.
What do you think of a setting within the future, like a few hundred or so years, where some things that occurred in the original series are canon such as Finn, PB other characters, some lore, like magic and the mysticism of old radiated technology, the kingdoms etc, so in that it's not a full reset, but that there is a loose chronologic order. Meanwhile, some aspects the show resolved would be redone or removed, like for instance, do humans still exist? Was thinking of making the protagonist a human as well, very similar to Finn or Fionna in that way, and to retell some aspects in a more serious aesthetic visual, while retaining much of the fun humor that made Adventure Time feel wholesome. Like a reboot of lore and story, upgraded visuals, and a new main story for the new human? Nothing is solidified but I just feel really strongly about AT and doing it better.

I do not know how to draw or animate. So a lot of you will probably find that offputting or silly but I will do my best to learn. I am installing my tablet right now, if you would be able to wait a few moments I will learn to draw so we can make the show. One moment.

That eye pose is so much better, they both are pointed down but the left one still captures her fatigue while the right shws irritation or anger. I know we are just scribbling but you are helping me understand emotives better!

Adventure Time is a show I think would actually benefit from a reboot. Now that they have a larger goal in mind for the story, rolling everything back and being able to deviate their time and character beats a little better could make all the difference. Hell, who doesn't want to just go back and spend a couple more years Adventuring with young Finn & Jake, before all the drama and world stuff? Back when Bubblegum was just like, a friend and it wasn't complicated and cutting away to long-winded diatribes. I don't know, man. I just want some fun adventure time again. Why bother with this show anymore at this point in its lifespan for anything other than reliving the nice parts of the early 2010s.

Do you think it's possible to make a show that is grounded and "realistic" with some serious overarching plot, while still fantastical aesthetic, comedy and wholesomeness in between? I know one off episodes can be done easily for comedic and fun charm, but how is this possible with "edge" and "brooding" and "emotions"?
I don't know man it's too vague and people like different things. If you figure out a general summary for the story and how you want to see it go you can post it here and maybe get peoples reaction and advice on how to progress from there.
