Normally I can post along with a watch like everyone else here but I'm reading subtitles at lightning speed so I'm taking the first guy's advice who called me a moron. Bumping to keep this alive for the next hour.
I thought it was good but I don't really have anything else to compare it to as I have only seen the 97 and 2014 american godzillas(which it is better than both).
Shin has a more interesting premise and some weird direction choices that are cool to watch but Minus One is a much better and more solid movie overall IMO
You sold me. I'm grabbing Shin now.
Minus One had a great character story in there. I liked the setting and how all of the characters were good people doing their best, a real throwback to simpler times. The thing Godzilla's spikes do when he's preparing to go thermonuclear was a nice touch.

I work with government bureacrats so all of these jokes are landing for me. The expert who didn't want to compromise his reputation by commenting on an unknown species was the icing on top.
The stylistic choices throughout this movie are incredible. This movie underscores how much brainless slop we've been served these past 5-10 years. Frick netflix.
Shin Godzilla was kino. I'm not up on my Godzilla series lore but the end reminded me of the cheesey showdowns from older films. Shin and MInus One were an excellent double feature. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find Satomi and impregnate her.
Because they felt sorry they didn't submit it for best picture instead. It's a pity give.
Also, oscars are definitely not rigged and they gave an award to two movies about the bombs just by coincidence and you shouldn't think about it.
They look better than the effects in 300 million dollar movies. That has to count for something. A Hollywood movie made for less than 15 mill wouldn't have any effects at all.
>They look better than the effects in 300 million dollar movies
Sometimes. But they opened the movie with literal dogshit that looked worse than the original Jurassic Park and poor greenscreen effects because they couldn't even manage a real set for some reason.
The fact that they have a budget of two yen and a hairball doesn't really justify it cause they have this PS3 looking CGI front and center without even trying to hide it or embellish it, they should've gone full Jaws and make Godzilla mysterious if they can't make him look decent
>15 mil budget with 35 people working on vfx >has flaws but looks very good in comparison to Hollywood
vs >big USA movies with budgets of 100 mil or more and hundreds of people + multiple companies working on vfx >result looks like garbage most of the time
it's not rocket science
Its a really expensive, cheap godzilla movie. And i mean that as a compliment, enjoyed it.
I'm surprised I actually care about the characters. I wasn't expecting them to give us humans to give a shit about. A happy surprise.
i think it SUCKS!
too much muh ptsd and not enough zilla
when noriko pushed shikishima behind the building it killed me bro
I like shots like this. Very creepy.
I like how detailed his model is in this movie. It's very satisfying to watch water pour and cascade off each of his little bumps and greebles.
I appreciated how threatening and creepy he looked in those key moments
whatt kind of moron are you? Just watch the movie instead of pausing every three minutes to post here.

Where are you watching it?
I watched it on my computer
I'll watch it. I just watched Shin and need to compare. Gotta pause for me tho when I take smoke breaks.
How was Shin? I still have to watch that.

if you liked minus one you'll hate shin. it's so boring that's equivalent to opera
Shin was better than Minus one imo.
Godzilla was way more threatening. The plan to kill it made more sense. And no cop out survival.
I understand the intentions but I felt that it just didn't work. it could be better executed
That is honestly what I felt about Minus One.
>What is our plan to kill Godzilla
>We are going to give it the bends
Shin has a more interesting premise and some weird direction choices that are cool to watch but Minus One is a much better and more solid movie overall IMO
10 minutes into Shin and this is quite the different animal. I'm digging it so far. They speak like real politicians it's very humorous.
Shin Godzilla is a movie about the evils of bureaucracy.
I work with government bureacrats so all of these jokes are landing for me. The expert who didn't want to compromise his reputation by commenting on an unknown species was the icing on top.
gimme a direct download link
The ending was stupid.
I'm chuckling my ass off to this. Apples and oranges vs. Minus One.
I don't watch cape shit
Fricking letflix has unsynced subtitles for English but the arabBlack person scribble is synced
Any sites that have good subs?
>he doesn't know Arabic
Didn't your dad teach you?
He tought me they cant be trusted
All the subs are absolutely shite. I edited my own subs to get rid of all the errors and americanisms.
What would you do in this situation?
Turn 360° and walk away.
delete my porn folder before it's too late
Watching the "get shit done" team work their magic is extremely satisfying.
They done goofed

I watch movie for she
She's cute and my type but Satomi is on another level
At first I thought the last one was Live Action Devil May Cry and was ready to chew out Prime
Watch Blue Giant instead, it's a fun movie.

I'll watch with you, anon.
No webms?
frick this dogshit not enough socail politics & where are the black people
no trans actors.
no way i’m watching this Nazi rubbish.
How did this win an oscar for special effects? It looks like ass

In case you hadn't noticed, the Oscars are rigged and don't actually mean anything.
Oscars are a joke, how old are you?

Original Jurassic Park still shits on most movies so i wouldn't expect japs who absolutely cannot make decent cgi to somehow surpass it
Do they? every time zilla was on screeen he was absolutely awful, the water effects were especially bad

But it's shit, looks like an anime movie, the water is especially bad
this movie misled me. I thought it was connected to warner brothers. this film did great portraying it as a monster instead of "people's ally".
So Noriko survived because she got the Godzilla mutation or something right?
