Introducing that concept was such a huge mistake. It's vague nonsense that over time has been applied to basically everyone because every writer wants their own fave to have the special badge too.

Because for the first time ever he actually has something to offer as a character that can't just be done by someone else. Would I say it’s better? No. Does he get more screentime? Definitely. Nobody has ever cared about iceman in the entire timespan between giant size X-Men to today.
