Trowa is my favorite of the Wing boys. I like quiet, stoic emo characters. Heero is too crazy.
Wufei is my least favorite. He's loud and annoying and I wasn't surprised at all when he defected to Mariemaia's side in EW.

Epyon's fricking weird and kinda shows why mid-late Wing just is needing to catch it's breath as seemingly out of nowhere not only has Treize secretly built a Gundam on par with Wing Zero and got a Zero System which to our knowledge he pulled whole cloth out of his ass since he's got no idea that Wing Zero even exists.
Then pretty much tosses Heero the keys and goes "have a fun!" before going to build Tallgeese II which is just a recolor of OG Tallgeese with TGIII apparently just being built in the background without the Zero System that Epyon had

Well, Heero also says he doesn't know what Treize wanted him to do with the Epyon (other than possibly annihilating the Romefeller forces) and Zechs chimes in by saying "he probably would have wanted me to have it anyway".
I did like how much the show swapped pilots and Gundams, you don't see that often. It was cool to see everyone get a crack at Wing Zero and get BTFO by it

Why does it feels like all the important background information WASN’T in the show? How come they managed to fill 49 episodes out of nothing? So many episodes in that series were inconsequential to the rest when there was so much left to be explored.

It was a bomb in my country, generally considered disjointed and confusing by the local CN heads. Couldn't even amount to a cult following, most people are still pissed we didn't get G Gundam because Wing was regarded as such a failure.
What's sad is they planned to air it, but production forced them to do 2 recaps instead. Those were going to be backstory episodes originally, but they decided to just do recaps and hold off. Then never got the chance to finish them.

At first I didn't like him that much purely from a meta perspective as in the plot he just kinda goes off and does his own thing and messes around with some resistance fighters, trolls them, and then trolls OZ. He is probably the only one of the pilots who actually sticks to the "go and do terrorist things" aspect of Operation Meator the longest. Later on though, the more I think about it, I find that I actually liked him a lot. The fact that he is a complete dick to everyone the entire time, never compromises on his morals and values, and hates women is pretty cool. Plus he pilots some neat Gundams. His second Gundam I think is second only to the Wing Zero(and Epyon since it's a clone more or less) in terms of general performance. Wufei was a cool guy who didn't afraid of anything

Despite the mega autistic momments, it was still a semi-mature show. The main setting was not high school entirely, character designs were not stereotypical, main couple was not made from 2 carpet munchers.
