Don't lie. His early run was particularly guilty of "Miles meets someone and they tell him he's a totally valid and legitimate spider-man" stories.
And relying on Pete's cast and stuff.
Web-shooters and the formula too. Miles would've been a more interesting Spider if he based his tactics on jumping spiders or other hunter spiders.
>gets the shit beat out of him by spider-woman >has fury threatening to reveal him to his parents >has captain america threatening him >has to actually prove himself in battle to all of them
Only one lying here is you.
People will hate on this but it's still true.
Miles' best arc is him becoming Spider-Man in the wake of Peter's death. The next up is the first Spider-Men book where he travels to 616 and meets the main Peter Parker.
Rate my Miles story >miles gets recruited by shield on a spy mission in latvia >his invisibility and ability to incapacitate people with electro shocks make him the best candidate >their goal is stop a rebel group from trying to stage a coup against Dr. Doom >shield is apprehensive of Doom’s wrath and although confident the coup would fail, Droom’s retaliation would set the region into war >Miles would go undercover as the nephew of a Wakandan noble to infiltrate high society >fish out of water story as Miles has to acclimate to high society >also examines being black in America vs being black in a black majority nation >spy thriller element as Miles slowly unravels that the people behind the rebel might not be who he thinks they are, and there’s a different reason why he might have been chosen for this mission >also gets a cool shield stealth suit >titles “Miles Morales: Agent of SHIELD”
Miles is half-AA and half Puerto Rican there is no way in hell that he would pass for a Wakandan. That's some all black people look alike bullshit.

He takes on the Black Widow name to finally make him different from Spiderman. Woketards can't complain that the name is for women because that's sexist.
It's funny how after ITSV every other version of Miles instantly became associated with art and music with zero build up. The Insomniac version especially made it super jarring because before that he was the most Peter-lite he'd ever been
I mean, not completely true. Ultimate kinda had something with his Dad finding out he's Spider-Man after his Mom was killed by Venom. Like it created something interesting. Like a what if Spider-Man had Uncle Ben. Well that all went out the window when they moved him to 616. He'll, his trama from Venom was addressed in 2 issues and now Carnage is more a problem than a Villian that technically killed his mom. Most of Miles problems stem from him being a product of a different universe. Like how Captain Marvel (Shazam) suffers from living in a world with Superman.
>Milesgays defending Miles being different from Peter because uhhh he listens to music and isn't a science nerd like Peter >ATSV makes him a science nerd like Peter
Lmao cannot make this shit up
Ultimate was good and his previous run with clones is okay. He's been in a weird spot where no one really seems to know what to do with him. Like they're giving him his own stuff, it's just not sticking.
Bendis mistake was to work with Sara Pichelli, he should have chosen a black artist who would help him in his life experience to create Miles, with Pichelle Miles became this empty character without soul and the gallery of Miles universe created by Bendis is very weak and Pichelle never added anything
Ultimate fallout issue 4(his first actual appearance). Then I stopped caring since I was grew up with ultimate Peter and his story was over. I'm going to be honest and say I don't know anything Miles did in his own sole series pre and post secret war.
So I think the long plan was to go through Miles coming into his own as a Hero. Like Miles time as Spider-Man in Ultimate is pretty fricking short in the long run. Like I think he had only recently be given the okay by Captain America, the first actual hero to tell him he's doing fine. A lot of the early run was concluding Pete's supporting case stories and shifting to Miles. Like there was some dumb Ultimate event with Hydra going on that took away from the plot some, and then I think we got the first Heart to heart with his Dad, but them Secret Wars was getting started to shit was getting cancelled and stuff got rushed. So it honestly is kind of forgettable because a lot of stuff never had real follow up or got to be expanded upon.
I guess, but there's way better comics out there to read anyway.
No
Comparatively the his early stuff in ultimate is fine, but everything since is meh to bad.

Pre-Secret Wars was good. Ahmed's run was decent.

you mean his ultimate stuff had some potential then they immediately gutted everything interesting about it except Ganke
better question but what purpose does Miles serve as a character what about him actually makes him worthwhile in any way shape or form as a character?
He’s a teen spider-man for the Zoomers and Gen alpha.
Peter is just too damn old to be hip for people younger than millennials.
None.

Sounds promising actually.

If there was, I would think someone would have tried posting his shit. Even miguel got more love than him.
I think the best he's gotten is c-, But I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
I only like him in the spider-verse movies. He's basically a different character from comic Miles.
What is even the difference in personality, he seems incredibly dull in both.
He uhhhhhhhhhhhhh listens to music.

yea the whole relationship with his cop father was a thing of the movie as well. Nobody gives a shit about his parents in the comics.

Miles in ITSV is 90% Peter Parker

no, they should just switch to movie miles because benis is garbage and they didn't know what to do with him outside ultishit

>even his covers are shitty knockoffs of better Peter ones
Tho this one is kinda nice.
His first run was ok and the recent run was going decent until this shit happened
That was Ziglar, right? What the frick was he smoking?
What are the odds the writer got this lightning sword idea from the Flash show?
