I was just watching season 5 which aired a fricking decade ago and the animation is still great. And with the exception of a few lines here and there, you don't feel it as a decade old because Venture Bros is entrenched in references that are way older.
Everything after Season 1 and 1st Half of Season 2? Yes.
Getting a rewatch in before the movie drops and it's glaring how much of a slog the first parts are.
Season 1 is..eh. It's not bad, but the characters improve 1000x in the following seasons. Hank and Dean in specific go from being just kinda there to being some of the best characters around.
Yeah, and probably.
I think it still holds up ye
Oddly, yes and no.
Elaborate.

I'd say season 1 has some weak spots with awkward dialogue pacing and stilted animation, but every other season still holds up and is mostly great.
This
Season 1 is a tad dated but it gets over that fast
Maybe, but I still think season 1 had many hilarious episodes
Oh yea, it's still good overall, just not as polished as what came after.

Most of Season 1 doesn't hold up, most of season 2 holds up, and from there on the rest of the show is eternally good.
It's shit now but it was always shit and there's never going to be a movie, moron

Season 1s animation is bad, but I like the rough look characters have - it adds the charm
I sort of wished they leaned into and improved onto it as the series went on. Makes it more reminiscent of older cartoons.
As a send up of Johnny Quest, The Venture Bros was already dated when it first aired...and that was just part of what made it so charming.
I’d say so it has a good style and memorable joke as well as and interesting cast of characters.
Too much Pride garbage. Dropped it years ago.
(yes) I am offended that they canceled it and the movie is like a participation trophy... (I hope) I'm still definitely watching it.
I'm so used to getting shit I love cancelled without any warning so the fact they're getting anything at all is a bonus in my eyes
Yeah, it's shitty that this is considered above the baseline but it is what it is
I quite like the first season
It was so simple and fun
